Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources for the Defense Systems Sector, the Senior Director Talent will serve in a key leadership role on the sector HR leadership team, as well as the corporate Talent Center of Excellence. This individual will provide oversight for a broad set of organization development and talent management functions including succession planning and leadership pipeline development, organization effectiveness and change management, performance management, leadership and functional development, and culture/engagement strategy. The role will oversee sector talent identification and assessment, succession management and the identification of development needs to inform talent development strategies. The role will partner with the sector VP Engineering, sector Chief Strategy and Technology Office, the Enterprise Talent COE and Enterprise Global Operations in support of the sector functional and technical talent strategies. This executive will partner with HR leadership to provide organization effectiveness and development consulting, including support for organization design and operational performance, leadership and team effectiveness and program development/facilitation.
Additionally, this person will be part of the extended enterprise Talent leadership team and will partner and collaborate with the Talent organization providing insights into business needs and helping to shape and inform enterprise Talent strategies. This person will also play a key role on the enterprise Talent extended leadership team, interacting with corporate Talent Management and Development (TM&D) and peers in other sectors to ensure sector strategic application of and alignment to enterprise talent management and development philosophies, programs and resources.
The ideal candidate will manage a function capable of meeting the needs of a large and complex aerospace and defense company and an ever-changing talent landscape and be able to lead others in a matrix environment. The successful candidate will effectively communicate and partner with internal and external stakeholders and will be responsible for creating strategic concepts and translating them to execution to produce business outcomes.

Salary Range: $198,400.00 - $311,800.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
