The Customer Service Shipping Admin will report to the Customer Service Manager and serve as the focal point between Operations, Customer Service and the Shipping Department to ensure timely administrative shipping of orders as they are completed in the system. Serves as internal customer interface on the creation of shipping documents, both domestic and international. Maintains knowledge of Collins Aerospace organization and products to provide the appropriate information and support to customers. Consistently documents Shipping Clerk Team needs to identify patterns and maintain quality.

This is an onsite role in Lenexa, KS. Not eligible for relocation.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Performs duties related to the administrative shipping of units.
  • Creates pack slips and invoices for orders.
  • Validate that estimates are approved by the customer.
  • Scans documentation for electronic retention.
  • Maintains knowledge of RTX organization and products to provide the appropriate information and support to customers.
  • Consistently documents customer service needs to identify patterns and maintain quality.
  • Works in a team environment, but also has the capacity to tackle tasks under minimal supervision after training is completed.
  • Process daily incoming goods and returns into Repair Center database and ERP systems
  • Accurately input received parts documentation into computer system and forward notification to Operations and CSR team
  • Communicate and coordinate with the customer service team for product returns/repair and receiving issues
  • Create Repair Orders for returned parts as directed by Repairs Department processes and or supervisors
  • Records and processes customer orders and/or inquiries demonstrating analysis, sound judgment, and sensitivity to customer needs
  • Utilize computer system to maintain and update status in a timely manner.
  • Maintains delivery records for received products
  • Additional tasks/ duties as assigned by Customer Service Manager
  • Daily cleaning organizing and general housekeeping of your own work area
  • File or scan file all related paperwork in order to process or close out repairs. Maintain/process paperwork and files per established company procedures
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships and communications with customers, other employees, supervisors and managers
  • Maintains safe work environment according to all department procedures, federal and state regulations

Qualifications/ Experience Needed:

  • Typically requires HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Superior organizational and time management skills
  • Strong computer skills
  • Strong Attention to detail, accuracy with data entry, and an aptitude for organization
  • Strong communication skills
  • Prior experience working in materials or customer service role
  • Some Knowledge of ITAR shipping compliance.
  • Some Knowledge of FAA/EASA requirements.
  • Some knowledge of HazMat and Dangerous Goods shipping requirements.
  • Strong sense of urgency and ability to prioritize completion of tasks
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Shows initiative and is driven to succeed.
  • Highly proficient in MS Office 365 products (Word, OneNote, Teams, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc.)

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 83,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
