REPORTS TO: Brand & Insights Lead 

Role positioning and objectives

The main purpose of this role is to support the business from market, direct reporting business unit, region and global in delivering the most value from the market share reporting tool and the insights available.

As well as being responsible for ensuring the monthly market share reporting cycle runs efficiently, the role includes scope to help users drive more benefit through applying their knowledge of marketing, market share data and the tool itself to build new dashboards and to input into future releases of the tool.

We are looking for someone that has the discipline to deliver market share insight on time and to a high quality coupled with excellent collaborator management when interacting with users at senior level and a hands-on ability to tackle problems with the data and build new insights for our users.

What you will be accountable for

  • Be responsible for the monthly market share reporting cycle, including supervising data quality and timeliness from external vendors and internal data, assisting market data owners with quality checks, loading commentary, market weights, and publishing monthly dashboards.
  • Provide support to SP&I leads, market category data owners, and ensure alignment with the reporting calendar for effective market analysis and insights dissemination.
  • Support Regional Manager in diagnosing and resolving data quality issues with vendors.
  • Schedule manual data pipeline jobs for out-of-schedule fresh requirements.
  • Provide general support for non-technical user queries and optimize self-service reporting usage.
  • Work with IDT and D&A, in support of resolving issues with the tool or supporting development of future features.
  • Develop good working relationships with peers within the End Market, as well as other functions within the GBS and Central Marketing & Strategic Planning & Insights teams to facilitate knowledge sharing.
  • Find opportunities for improvement of a tool and/or operating model

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE.

  • Minimum 3 years of data and analytics experience, specializing in business analysis or visualization development.
  • Proficiency in Excel or similar tools for data analysis and reconciliation, coupled with expertise in Power BI development.
  • Good understanding of dimensional data models and working knowledge of SQL/Tableau/Power BI/Google Data Studio for querying large datasets; experience with Snowflake and Azure cloud solutions is advantageous.
  • Ability to optimally manage schedules of activities and handle risks, issues, and dependencies, summarizing them for management.
  • Familiarity with current marketing and analytics technology, including external share of market data vendors like Nielsen.
  • Skilled in performing business analysis to bridge between business requirements and reporting solutions, demonstrating business awareness.
  • Clear and effective communication skills, capable of articulating requests to collaborators within their responsibilities.
  • Team-player mentality with a focus on collaboration and curiosity, complemented by strong social skills for effective communication across various levels and departments, both internally and externally.
