Overview

Axient is seeking a Contracts and Procurement Intern to support our corporate office in Huntsville, AL. 

Responsibilities

Members of the Contracts and Procurement Department provide excellent customer service to Axient’s internal and external stakeholders. Under the supervision of a designated supervisor (mentor) the Contracts and Procurement Intern will work with internal stakeholders to fulfill requests and to ensure that work products meet Axient and client standards. This is an opportunity to gain an understanding of the complexities involved in the field of Government Contracts while working in a fast-paced environment. 

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
  • Troubleshooting skills with an effective customer service orientation.
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to compile, analyze and synthesize data into a usable format.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-starter with strong work ethic and proven dependability.
  • Demonstrated outstanding level of professionalism in providing administrative support, including ability to exercise good judgment, discretion, tact, and diplomacy.

This is a full-time, temporary position (40 hours/week for 12 weeks).
