Our Impact:

Our team is part of the Loan Products group that is responsible for delivering products through our technology platforms and processes from both a customer experience and Freddie Mac perspective. Our team is responsible for identifying, evaluating, designing, developing, and implementing new or enhanced product and business or technology projects initiated by the Single-Family Division. We engage business areas across the company including technology to identify and resolve impacts related to offerings being implemented to ensure successful rollout and adoption internally with business partners and externally with our customers.

Your Impact:

  • Product Management/Development – Manage, analyze, design, and develop products, including building the business case for selected solutions. Manage products that are strategic, sophisticated, spanning several domains, with undefined scope and significant cross divisional impacts.
  • Management - Support internal business partners including client facing teams to evaluate current products and offerings and identify market requirements for new or revised products and offerings. Regularly interact with leaders and senior management on matters concerning several functional areas, divisions, and/or customers.
  • Product Owner Director provides direction during all stages of development for credit product underwriting elements, to ensure strategy and positioning of product features are in line with Freddie Mac’s product strategy.
  • Use your industry and client experience to provide direction in the planning and roll-out of the Enterprise Credit Score and Reporting Initiative.
  • Anticipate product feature trends in the credit space and changing needs among clients and industries at large (e.g. digital, technology) to build and drive a strong delivery strategy that bridges financials, technology, and borrower needs.
  • Prioritizes and coordinates features with key internal partners and resources across the product team to support delivery of Freddie Mac’s Products.
  • Lead organization to successfully consult and deliver products and solutions across our clients and workstreams
  • Works with business partners and cross-functional teams across the mortgage eco system to design and implement the right strategy and solutions
  • Has successfully managed a diverse portfolio of external clients and partners with delivery accountability.
  • Proven ability to influence senior leadership level work in highly matrixed environment
  • Ability to build relationships and influence across a large, matrixed organization
  • Carry out research on the broad market to both understand developing trends and opportunities and potential threats to the effectiveness of existing product feature

Qualifications:

  • 12 + years of related professional work experience
  • Substantial experience of primary and secondary mortgage markets as well as an understanding of how Freddie Mac interacts with them.
  • Understanding of the full mortgage ecosystem related to credit scores, including:
  • the roles of lenders with varying business models, investors, mortgage insurance companies and rating agencies etc.
  • various types of securitizations, credit risk transfer and model uses.
  • Outstanding product development and organizational change skills
  • Top notch written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present to management, expertly facilitate meetings and develop and deliver presentations/materials to various levels of audiences.

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $195,000 - $293,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
