Assist in the development and implementation of brand and marketing communication strategies for the Kwikset brand. Assist in the end to end project management for the implementation of Marketing initiatives and projects including but not limited to new product launch, advertising, social media, public relations, literature, packaging, POP, and sales/channel support.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • (30%) Project Management – Will manage several different brand initiatives/projects simultaneously, working cross functionally to deliver on commitments. Elements include new product commercial launches across customers, advertising programs, collateral materials, sales support materials, and photography.
  • (30%) New Product Introductions (NPI)

o Lead project management of cross-functional team (Creative, Photography, Product Management, Channel Marketing) through multiple on-going collateral and asset development projects at various stages of NPI development

o Manage procurement and shipping of products for Media, as well as tracking delivery status

o Prepare Creative Work Orders (CWO) to manage NPI related material

  • (10%) Brand Management

o Ensure brand continuity and accuracy, along with proper use of brand logos, sub-brands, naming conventions, fonts, colors, imagery, etc. based on the brand guidelines.

o Assist in effectively manage vendor base to execute ongoing projects.

o Provide project management for creative execution of all product launches, brand initiatives and retail marketing programs

o Manage production of video assets, obtaining quotes from vendors, drafting scripts, coordinating location, purchasing props, etc.

o Event management – support communication functions for events, trade shows and meetings as required

  • (25%) Business Processes

o Assist in management of external vendors, purchase orders, PR related product shipments across the Brand Marketing team

o Manage Purchase Order creation by collecting necessary paperwork and backup documentation to bundle the request for approvals; coordinating approvals; sending request to Sourcing Department

o Coordinate meeting materials for customer product collaboration, line reviews and business reviews. Includes but not limited to product samples, display materials, labels, POP, research results and the printed presentation

o Develop and distribute brand updates, competitive activity, market updates and ad hoc reports as needed

  • (5%) Event management – Supports communication functions for events, trade shows and meetings as required.

Education and Experience Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or Communications 
  • Minimum of 3+ years of marketing experience. Must have solid understanding of marketing strategy and execution with expertise in:

o Brand Management

o Advertising

o PR

o Project Management

o Market Research

o Collateral Creation

o POP

o Sales/Channel Support

o Copywriting and Proofreading

o Fulfillment Management

  • Consumer Products background, preferably in hardware/home improvement and/or new construction/building industries is a big plus.
  • Deep knowledge of mass media marketing, with expertise in packaging, collateral and POP.
  • Experience working with advertising and PR agencies and other creative entities.

Strong record of accomplishment in prior responsibilities.

Work Environment

Working conditions are typical for an office environment. 

Ability to travel at least 10% of the time, as required for trade shows, press events and the like. 

Pay Range: $56,025-$82,171.

This “base salary range” is a reasonable estimate for this position at the time of posting. Pay within each range is based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, to primary work job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location.
