About This Position

The Marketing Coordinator, will be responsible for supporting and executing the marketing channel strategies to drive quality prospective student populations to apply and ultimately accept Kellogg’s offer of admission. In close collaboration with Marketing Manager, Sr. Associate Director of Admissions, the Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for recruitment planning and communication execution management across the Full-Time MBA programs. The Marketing Coordinator, will report to Marketing Manager.

Working with internal staff/faculty and community members (i.e. Corporate Partners/Alumni/Students), the Marketing Coordinator, is the principal executor of event recruitment planning, promotion and communications in partnership with other IMC partners including digital, paid and external media.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with FT Admissions and Special Event teams to create recruitment plan and execute communications.
  • Support the planning of Full-Time Admissions recruitment activities and events to deliver a best-in-class experience for prospective students, admitted students and all other key stakeholders. 
  • Oversees all FT Admissions recruitment events; responsibilities include event build out in database, invitation strategy, communication plan and execution.
  • Provides creative, appropriate, timely, and unique solutions for overall event experience and plays key role in developing each event, in-person or remotely.
  • Produces reports and ROI analysis based on event data.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve and enhance events based on event analysis, feedback and competitive intelligence.
  • Manages all communication around event promotion, including updating the events page of the website, drafting/sending event invitations and follow-up communications.
  • Manages event inquiries from prospective and admitted students
  • Works closely with the Assistant Directors of Admissions, Program Manager and Associate Director of Special Events to drive outreach strategy.
  • Partners with Admissions team on marketing and communications efforts to prospective students.
  • Markets the Kellogg School of Management and embodies the Kellogg brand at all times when planning and executing events.
  • Serves as a Kellogg ambassador through all interactions with prospective students and key stakeholders (current students, Kellogg staff, professors, alumni, etc.)
  • Fulfills other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: (Education, experience, and any other certifications or clearances)

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience from which comparable skills can be acquired.
  • 4+ years of professional work experience with coordination/event planning/management responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and cooperatively with other staff and volunteers.
  • Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as strong organizational and creative skills.
  • Familiarity and comfort working with Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications: (Education and experience)

  • Event planning, marketing, or higher education experience with ability to think strategically and execute tactically

Preferred Competencies: (Skills, knowledge, and abilities)

  • Savvy with technology including data management and CRM

Target hiring range for this position will be between $53,206 - $65,000 per year. Offered salary will be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
