Project Manager in Vendor Management, Vice President

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Vendor Management team in Asset Management.

As our future Project Manager within Vendor Management, you will manage relationships, conduct due diligence of Operational Suppliers for Asset Management and their Funds. You may also get involved in negotiating contracts, commercial reviews and in the selection of suppliers, assessing supplier capabilities, conducting RFIs / RFPs and managing benchmarking exercises to support the business. Furthermore, you will take ownership of assigned projects, leading analysis and solution design, working collaboratively and flexibly with business stakeholders, have an inquisitive nature and be comfortable challenging current practices. As the role will requires a high level of interaction with senior stakeholders, you should possess excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills with colleagues and business counterparts at all levels of seniority, be able to write, produce and deliver clear and concise presentation decks and reports. 

Job responsibilities

  • Manage and conducting due diligence on service providers.
  • Manage relationships with strategic services providers, including affiliates.
  • Support the AM Business in developing / improving and implementing a robust control framework for managing the outsourced activities. 
  • Assist with the identification and implementation of outsourcing related regulatory change partnership with the relevant line of business and corporate groups.
  • Conduct with the wider team Commercial reviews of the service providers, including sourcing the required information from the Business, analysis and interpretation of the data. 
  • Facilitate the selection of qualified suppliers, via RFPs or similar process, for the AM business and its Funds.
  • Manage contract and commercial negotiation activities with both new and existing suppliers.

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, with some relevant experience in Financial Services or financial accounting / financial analysis.
  • Experience in commercial and contract negotiations is desirable.
  • Strong analytical and numeracy skills, accuracy and attention to detail. Proficient in use of desktop tools (MS Excel, Word, Power Point) for analytical and presentation purposes.
  • Project Management skillset with a delivery focus, excellent organizational skills and time management.
  • Leadership and relationship management skills / experience so that they can build good rapport with suppliers, the business and corporate functions.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills in English.
  • An appreciation of risk and control management.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience in an Operational Audit, Control and Risk Management environment would be useful.
