Your new field of activity

In your new role as Commercial Bid and Project Manager the following activities will be part of your daily business:

You will lead the preparation of customer offers together with our bid team and managers as well as be responsible for the execution of projects together with our project teams and managers.

  • Prepare competitive offers for international and complex erection projects in cooperation with regional units and cross-functional stakeholders, including the definition of business models and the implementation of a winning strategy from all commercial as well as contractual aspects during the bid/offer phase.
  • Ensure compliance with processes and quality gates (LoA) and present your offers up to the business line and Siemens Logistics management during the bid/offer phase.
  • Contribute to a smooth project start through continuous exchange between bid and execution team and a comprehensive project handover during the bid/offer phase.
  • Monitor and control project scope, schedule, forecast, budget and deliverables that support business goals in alignment with management and stakeholder for running projects.
  • Manage commercial and legal project subjects, e.g. correct allocation and monitoring of costs, identification of opportunities and risks, preparation of invoices and follow-up of claims, handling of fiscal, currency-related aspects and insurance subjects for running projects.
  • Additionally we are working with BI tools (e.g. PowerBI) and develop new solutions to use predictive analytics for the forecasting of demands.

Your qualifications

  • University degree, preferably majored in Commercial, Finance or Accounting
  • 3 or more years of working experience is required
  • International working experience is a plus
  • Understanding of Siemens processes (e.g. LoA) and guidelines (e.g. NCM) is a plus
  • Advanced knowledge in SAP operation practice and Microsoft Office
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written English due to multi-cultural working environment
  • Open minded team player who enjoys working in an international environment and highly motivated team with the ability to build long-term relationships with internal colleagues and external providers and to work independently with high commitment to support the growth of our Customer Lifecycle Business
  • Initiative and change orientation in a fast growing market environment and a logical mindset with strong analytical capability
