The Job:

The CW is looking for a Marketing Manager to join the Content Marketing team. Reporting to the VP of Content Marketing, this position will support in developing and managing the overall strategy development, planning and execution of holistic marketing campaigns with the goal of driving awareness, and tune-in for The CW programming across genres. 

As Content Marketing Manager, this team member will be expected to help to deliver strategy, ideate concepts and spearhead execution, including digital, social, paid media and promotional activations and more. This person must be creative, strategic, and collaborative; able to develop relationships across a variety of internal and external groups.

The Daily:

  • Primary responsibilities include the support the planning, development, and execution of omnichannel marketing strategy and campaigns for The CW.
  • Support the internal cross-functional team to work collaboratively with departments (scheduling/creative/publicity/social, etc.) in overseeing strategy implementation and executing all aspects of assigned show campaigns.
  • Communicate the goals, positioning, and strategy of assigned marketing campaigns internally and externally to ensure adherence to brand and campaign standards.
  • Have complete understanding of all aspects of assigned show titles including storylines, production schedules, etc. and monitor for campaign health across press, ratings, social, insights, metrics and more to optimize campaigns as necessary.
  • Utilize research and resources in the development of strategy materials.
  • Assist in the development and execution of paid media and advertising campaigns along with VP of Content Marketing including planning, creative development and trafficking.
  • Assist with managing external agencies in the development of media/promotion plans.
  • Consolidate marketing plans into comprehensive presentations and present them as needed to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work internally and externally to develop campaign deadlines and ensure that all marketing deadlines are met.
  • Utilize research and resources to develop post-campaign reports and insights for application to future projects.

The Essentials:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3-5 years of marketing experience at a media company or advertising/promotion agency (entertainment industry experience preferred) including demonstrated experience building campaigns.
  • Results-oriented with the ability to evaluate marketing strategies and impact.
  • Familiarity with cross-functional campaigns across consumer, social and digital and the ability to contribute to campaigns and collaborate with internal and external teams across every phase of a campaign.
  • Excellent project and time management skills.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills with focus on delivering excellence.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to proactively operate independently in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
  • Ability to create visually compelling presentations in Powerpoint, Keynote, Canva, etc.
  • Ability to work in Burbank, CA at least 4 days/week and willingness to travel and/or work weekends or overtime.
  • A passion for entertainment, media and pop culture.

The Compensation:

  • $70K – $80K/yr commensurate with experience and skill levels.
