ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Director of Creative Strategy, you will be owning and developing the Creative Strategy service offering for the North American Performance Marketing team within Media.Monks. This role sits at the crossroads of strategy, creative, media and data. You will work closely with the Digital Strategy team, Creative Services team, and Paid Media teams.

We are looking for someone with a passion for performance creative, hands-on-keyboard experience in digital acquisition channels, and an emphasis on visual channels such as Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn. This person will have the ability to innovate and grow a developing service offering. The ideal candidate is able to successfully lead client relationships, work with senior leadership (across paid media and creative product/design capacities), and is able to generate agency-wide performance creative best practices. You should also be well versed in UGC production, best practices, and be up to date on current creative trends within the UGC space.

Client Oversight

  • Serve as the creative strategy lead for creative and media clients as the primary agency point of contact
  • Generate creative testing methodology, client-specific creative testing roadmaps, and lead concept ideation and research that will lend itself to new creative ideas
  • Drive creative strategy and coordinate with creative teams to tailor optimal messaging and iterate creative based on performance 
  • Generate strong revenue growth within the creative strategy and creative services lines
  • Conduct trainings for team members outside of creative strategy and lead the agency in defining how to speak about creative performance and ideation with clients

ABOUT YOU

  • 5+ years of experience working in a client-facing strategic role at a creative, social or performance marketing agency 
  • 2+ years of people management experience
  • Experience managing both eComm and lead gen creative strategy
  • Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn experience is a must; YouTube, CTV, Pinterest, and Snapchat experience is a plus
  • Passion for creative and design trends in media
  • Facebook Business Manager and Google Ads fluency (in order to pull data)
  • You are a communication guru when presenting creative strategy to C-Suite and executive audiences
  • You frequently find yourself stepping into leadership roles and want those around you to succeed
  • Not afraid to get in the weeds, but still able to see the trees, forest, and ecosystem
  • ‘Driven’ and ‘Innovative’ are attributes commonly associated with you
  • 4-year college degree or equivalent work experience

Media.Monks has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what Media.Monks may pay for the position at the time of posting. Media.Monks may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on job-related factors, but not based on a candidate’s sex or any other protected status.

Salary Range$118,000—$146,000 USD
