The Department of Anesthesia, Critical Care and Pain Management at the Massachusetts General Hospital seeks to recruit a full-time staff anesthesiologist to join its Anesthesia practice at Mass General Brigham/Mass General Danvers Outpatient Surgery Center

The Mass General Brigham/Mass General Danvers Outpatient Surgery Center is known for its highly skilled anesthesiologists and CRNAs and has one of the highest retention rates in MA. Clinical Care

As a staff anesthesiologist at Mass General Brigham/Mass General Danvers Outpatient Surgery, your clinical responsibilities will include evaluating and providing anesthetic care for our patients. Essential elements include but are not limited to: 

• Participation in the provision of quality, evidence-based care.
• Full compliance with all billing, departmental, institutional and external regulatory policies. 
• Demonstration of professional behavior and engagement in an effective, collaborative and collegial manner with other departmental and institutional members as part of a multidisciplinary team of caregivers.
• Regional and Pediatric Anesthesia skill preferable

Professionalism

Staff anesthesiologists at Mass General Brigham/Mass General Danvers Outpatient Surgery Center are expected to:

• Engage in an effective, collaborative and collegial manner with other departmental and institutional members as part of the multidisciplinary team of caregivers.
• Attend Departmental staff meetings.

Qualifications

Requirements

• Board certified or board eligible by the American Board of Anesthesiology or a comparable foreign national certifying organization (must pass oral boards, or comparable, within 3 years).
• Eligible to obtain a license to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• Compliance with all billing, departmental, institutional (MGH, MGPO) and external regulatory policies.
• Exceptional judgment, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Capacity to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team, including, but not limited to, surgeons, nurses (CRNAs, RNs, NPs, CNMs) and other allied health professionals. 
• Maintenance of active MA license, DEA (federal and state) certificates, and other institutional credentialing requirements at all times
