The Role:

As a Senior Staff Product Designer for the Celonis Process Intelligence Graph and Data Platform, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our flagship product. Working closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and data science, you will lead the design efforts to deliver a world-class user experience that drives value for our customers. This role offers an exciting opportunity to influence product strategy, innovate on user-centric solutions, and make a significant impact in the field of Process Mining and Process Excellence.

The work you’ll do

  • Lead the end-to-end design process for the Celonis Process Intelligence Graph and Data Platform, from concept to delivery, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience.
  • Understand the unique needs and workflows of data engineers working with SQL, and design interfaces and workflows that optimise their productivity and user experience.
  • Define and communicate the design vision and actively influence product strategy and roadmap, aligning with business objectives and user needs.
  • Collaborate closely with product management and engineering teams to translate requirements into elegant and user-centric design solutions.
  • Conduct user research, usability testing, and data analysis to inform design decisions and drive continuous improvement.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs communicating design concepts and functionality.
  • Mentor and coach junior members of the design team, fostering a culture of design excellence and continuous learning.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in product design, and apply them to enhance Celonis' design processes and offerings.
  • Bring a wealth of experience and insights into designing enterprise-grade software and SaaS solutions, further strengthening our team's capabilities in delivering impactful products to our customers.

The qualifications you need

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in product design, with a strong portfolio showcasing innovative and user-centric design solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience in shipping enterprise software or SaaS propositions, with a deep understanding of the unique challenges and requirements of these environments.
  • Proficiency in design tools and processes, including running design sprints and multi-stakeholder design thinking workshops. 
  • Experience in process optimisation or design operations in a cross-functional setup is a plus. 
  • Deep understanding of UX/UI principles, interaction design, and information architecture.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively articulate design concepts and rationale.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
