Summary:

The Vice President, Human Resources People Management position will be responsible for leading multiple Human Resources functions which are mostly employee-facing and business-centric. This role will play a critical role in aligning HR strategies with business objectives, fostering a culture of excellence, and driving organizational effectiveness. Your will have direct oversight to the Employee Relations and HR Business Partner teams. You will serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing strategic HR guidance, insights, and solutions to optimize the relationship between Human Resources and the business divisions.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for HR policies, procedures, and practices in an organization.
  • Oversight of global HR personnel, across various industries.
  • Lead personnel in multiple Human Resource functions
  • Focus on team management of employee relations programs and activities as well as HRBP-related functions within the organization.
  • Partner closely with executive leadership to understand business goals and develop HR strategies that support overall organizational objectives.
  • Lead organizational change initiatives.
  • Provide expert consultation to senior executives to drive organizational success.
  • Collaborate with HR centers of excellence to design and deliver innovative HR programs and initiatives.
  • Analyze HR metrics and data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement, providing actionable insights to leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, mitigating risks and promoting a fair and ethical workplace.

This position has direct reports. Manages staff and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration or a related field required.
  • Minimum twelve (12) years of HR leadership, or like, experience.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

PHR or SPHR, preferred.

Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as policy and procedure manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and solve a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardizations exists. Ability to intemperate a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Customer Service Relationships:

Assesses and diffuses problem situations and requires influencing others to reach consensus. Requires tact and diplomacy to handle difficult customer relationships. Explores alternatives and creative solutions to meeting the needs of customers.

Work Complexity:

Problems and issues faced are frequently complex and multi-dimensional, requiring broad-based consideration of variables that impact areas outside of immediate responsibility. Extensively analyzes problems to seek understanding of the underlying issue and root cause of the problem.
