Job Description

The Senior Facilities Specialist will play a crucial role in our company's growth and success. Your primary responsibilities will revolve around business development, strategic initiatives execution, vendor performance analysis, and vendor management based on data-driven analytics.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Primary liaison between vendors and internal customers. 
  • Conduct weekly vendor calls to discuss updates, exceptions, and standards. Review vendor performance and compliance.
  • Execute vendor management strategies for National Repair and Maintenance programs. 
  • On-board and train contractors on CMMS software and Standard Operating Procedures. 
  • Evaluate vendor performance and effectiveness.
  • Identify and solve problems with repair and CapEx work orders.
  • Collaborate with different teams, departments, and site managers to address escalations. 
  • Coordinate work with vendors across multiple trades.
  • Own resolution of permits, violations, and penalties involving AHJ.
  • Proactively communicate schedules, delays and exceptions to stakeholders. 
  • Provide reports on open and closed work orders and checks status with the appropriate vendor. 
  • Provide emergency response. 
  • Assist with acquisition Due-Diligence, and post-acquisition implementation. 
  • Complete A/R reconciliation monthly.
  • Validate work completed, invoicing, and asset data accuracy based on pre-selected

Qualifications

  • 5 years experience in facilities management, service organization or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience in managing relationships with external service providers and contractors is beneficial.
  • Proficiency in using CMMS software, Microsoft Office Products
  • Strong communication skills are needed to interact with various stakeholders, including employees, management, and external partners. Clear and concise communication helps relay updates and schedules.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage schedules, and detailed reporting is crucial in ensuring consistent vendor deliverables.
  • Capacity to analyze data to track performance and make data driven decisions.
  • Adaptable and able to handle unexpected challenges.

Public Storage teammates are expected to work in the office five days each week with the option to take up to three flexible remote days per month.
