Job Description & Summary

We are looking for a Senior Associate in the Capital Markets and Accounting Advisory (CMAAS) team based in Lithuania.

As a Senior Associate, you will have an opportunity to enhance and use highly technical accounting knowledge to solve clients’ complex financial reporting and accounting issues. You will tackle client’s needs with a solution oriented approach that creatively addresses complex financial reporting problems for high profile transactions and business-critical matters. You will have a chance to contribute to finance transformation related projects, which often encompass a digital twist. You will have significant interaction with senior company management teams. Within CMAAS, you will constantly be challenged to learn more, allowing you to provide clients with the highest quality services.

In this role you will:

  • Work directly with our CMAAS leader who brings extensive experience from the world’s leading markets in the US/UK, experienced manager/senior manager and the broader CMAAS community within CEE. 
  • Research, form a point of view and advise clients on complex accounting and financial reporting matters related to deals and other transformational events.
  • Build expertise on a broad range of technical accounting, financial reporting, and capital markets topics, including IPOs, spin-offs, joint ventures, post deal accounting, restructurings, GAAP conversions, change in accounting standards, accounting complexity, derivatives and hedging.
  • Develop strategies to solve complex technical accounting and reporting challenges.
  • Contribute to Future of Finance projects in the areas of operational excellence and technology enablement.
  • Continue to develop internal and external relationships and your PwC brand.
  • Keep up to date with local, regional and global business and economic issues.
  • Be actively involved in business development activities to help source new opportunities.
  • Have access to world-class technology solutions such as Alteryx, Microsoft Power Platform, Google Workspace, and the ability to learn the latest technologies (cloud, analytics, robotic process automation and AI).

You are our perfect candidate if you have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting / Economics / Finance or similar sciences.
  • At least 3 years of working experience in external audit, finance-related consulting, treasury, or technical accounting functions. Experience with deals, structuring or modeling is an advantage.
  • Professional certification (e.g. ACCA, ACA or similar) or advanced student would be considered as advantage.
  • Ability to comfortably navigate through financial statements and critical accounting policies.
  • Strong working knowledge of Lithuanian GAAP and IFRS.
  • Proven problem solving abilities, strong analytical skills, able to operate with ambiguity.
  • Experience in IT driven data analytics, robotic process automation and low or no-code development would be considered as advantages.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation and commercial acumen.
