Job Description:

The Project Manager oversees the company's contractual commitments to the customer. He/She represents the customer internally.

He/she is responsible for the industrial implementation of the services assigned to him/her in terms of costs, deadlines, technical quality, safety and cleanliness.

Reporting to the Operations & Programmes Department, he/she is responsible for supervising and coordinating all human and technical work on the aeronautical maintenance work site in compliance with cost and deadline objectives.

He/she negotiates with the customer representative the additional and supplementary work occurring during the course of his/her work.

He/She covers the sectors:

Production, where he/she manages storage, maintenance, modification and dismantling operations;

Technical, Planning and Scheduling Office, ensuring the work preparation and initiation;

Supply Chain, managing the supply (consumables, equipment) required to perform maintenance, repair or dismantling operations;

Customer support.

Main activities

Client related activities

Develop the "Customer Service Provider" culture and ensure customer satisfaction.

Anticipate the customer's technical and commercial needs.

Welcome customer representatives, set up and monitor the logistics organised around them and ensure their inclusion in the town.

Contribute, in agreement with the sales representative and his/her managers, to the resolution of disputes and to the balance of outstanding points relating to work already delivered.

Lead the Kick-Off Meeting at the start of and during the work with the customer.

Participate in customer satisfaction surveys.

Draw up quotations for repairs or standard exchanges of equipment and subcontracted services in conjunction with the Trade Department

Operational activities

Define the scheduling risks that may occur during implementation.

Structuring the project (methods, steering tools, etc.) and defining the operating rules to ensure that the work is carried out under the best possible conditions in terms of time, safety, quality and cost.

Lead the work site preparation meeting.

Define, with project employees, the objectives and deadlines for tasks (scheduling of tasks, provisional schedule).

Define the required industrial facilities (human and material resources) with the workshop manager.

Meet the units/participants involved in the project, visit work sites, meet suppliers, etc.

Send information to the Technical Office (WP)

Ensure that all work carried out on aircraft has a work order saved in AMS.

Ensure that the aircraft's technical documentation is available to the work staff.

Ensure that work is initiated in accordance with contracts or orders

Coordinate, lead and monitor his/her team's progress.

Negotiate the required resources (human, technical, deadlines) with the Workshop Manager in accordance with the project progress.

Follow up and check the progress of the project, the performance of the schedule and the compliance with the budget (costs, labour, subcontracting).

Participate in optimising the required stocks in coordination with the Supply Chain department

Ensure the including of subcontractors in the work.

Ensure the coordination of the facilities implemented with all site internal and external participants (supplies, equipment flow).

Keep all production indicators up to date (technical progress, AMS time booking, etc.).

Carry out all the checks and tests required to ensure the technical compliance and traceability of the services provided

Ensure full application of the basic contract, and analyse and manage deviations and/or changes.

Identify and report on additional work

Implement corrective actions to remedy any deviation from objectives.

Draft, propose and negotiate quotations for additional and/or supplementary work for labour; propose, if necessary, an adjustment of the deadlines for carrying out the work and update the ERP.

Ensure that all work carried out outside contracts has been registered in a quotation (C.QUOTE) signed by the customer and initiate such work once signed.

Ensure the providing of the assigned services within the associated regulatory framework while complying with the agreed costs and deadlines.

Set up and monitor the Progress Report throughout the work.

Draw up the required information for the weekly reports

Follow up the actions carried out by the customer (supply, supply of equipment, modification kits, etc.) and inform inside stakeholders. Ensure the permanent liaison of the site's employees with the customer (Workshop, BT, logistics, purchasing, etc.) and draft periodic reports on the state of the accounts.

Ensure compliance with project procedures.

Ensure that the Work Pack is closed with release documents

Ensure that parts are returned to the customer.

Assess positive or negative aspects of projects (regarding the work group, staying on track with or exceeding budgets, overrunning time limits, quality of partners) during a work assessment meeting.

Provide operating experience to improve quotations during and after the work.

Raise the awareness of employees and third parties to ensure that safety standards are understood and included in work practices.

Enforce occupational health and safety rules

Inform the airport, customs and the company of the aircraft arrival and departure (time, etc.).

Ensure the arrival time of the crew and organise their welcoming and departure

Ensure the availability of a copy of the flight plan (customs)

Ensure that arrival and departure protocols are complied with (Immigration, etc.)

Coordinate the administrative formalities on arrival and departure of the aircraft with customers.

Inform the Finance Department of any scheduled departure of aircraft, items belonging to each customer, engine, etc.

Ensure final payment (scheduled and additional work) by the customer prior to the aircraft's departure.

Oversee the technical, financial and contractual fields with regard to each customer representative.

Optimise the use of human resources, in compliance with the applicable labour regulations, by ensuring: staff numbers/work loads are tailored to needs, and jobs/skills are tailored to needs.

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements in terms of health and safety of property, individuals and the work area.

Implement the improvement plans required for safety and productivity

Apply the labour legislation and collective agreements applicable in the company

Qualifications

Education:

Aeronautical engineer or equivalent diplomaMaster's degree in project management, or equivalent

Experience:

At least 8 years experience in the aviation maintenance industry.

At least 5 years experience in project manager related positions.

Having the experience of production planning.

Having experience in the AMOS system is preferred.

Basic Skills:

Command in English

Certifications:

CCAR Part-66R3 licence, category TA with English level 3.

Airbus and/or Boeing type rating training, A320 & A330 is preferred.
