Summary

Comcast India is looking for a talented and dedicated Senior Analyst to support Comcast Enterprise Procurement team in HQ US. The responsibilities listed are related to sourcing, procurement, and contract management. The person in this role would be responsible for developing and implementing sourcing strategies, managing the RFx process, negotiating contracts, and managing the day-to-day operations of the Software Category. They would also be responsible for staying current on industry trends, best practices, and developing compelling business cases to drive meaningful change.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Analyze project requirements and spend data from a variety of sources to develop and implement sourcing strategies.
  • Manage RFx process utilizing sourcing best practices.
  • Negotiate and implement agreements that maximize cost savings, improve service levels, mitigate contractual risks, and creates/improves overall value for the category areas mentioned above.
  • Demonstrate sourcing leadership; communicate and implement fact-based sourcing strategies across functions and with various levels of management.
  • Manage long term strategy, continuous improvement, and day to day operations of the Software Category.
  • Remain abreast of internal and external factors affecting commodity areas; identify opportunities and determine best in class sources of supply.
  • Continually introduce industry best practices and implement where feasible.
  • Negotiate contracts while maintaining a strong understanding of contracting language and principles.
  • Develop project plans, deliverables, metrics, and milestones. Implement process disciplines and management systems necessary to achieve desired results.
  • Develop compelling business cases/analyses to drive meaningful change in process or supplier as appropriate to meet sourcing strategy and business objectives.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of specifications and industry best practices

Job Description

Key requirements and experience include:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business or Supply Chain Management or Information Systems or Technology or Engineering or equivalent education
  • 5-7 years of Procurement & Sourcing experience preferably in the Software Category
  • Proven work experience as a Sourcing Manager or Procurement Manager
  • Experience utilizing sourcing and vendor management and relevant software
  • Understanding of market dynamics and sound business judgement
  • Strong project management and leadership skills
  • Ability to negotiate and foster symbiotic working relationships
  • Ability to collect, interpret, and analyze numerical data
  • Ability to make sound judgements and decisions
  • Ability to adapt in a rapidly evolving business environment
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with diverse stakeholders
  • Demonstrated exceptional quantitative and data analysis skills
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills,
  • Excellent escalation management skills
  • Excellent work ethic, team player, led smaller projects
  • Must be a self-starter and multi-tasker with superior time management skills
  • Excellent English verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively to stakeholders (internal and external)
  • Presentation experience in which have successfully conveyed an idea or decision to key stakeholders
  • Ability to work cross-entity, cross-geography enterprise-wide initiatives
  • Experience working in global delivery model/ environments
  • Worked in a matrix organization and have built constructive and effective relationships
  • Ability to support Eastern Standard Time Zone (USA) meeting/ calls as needed
