Compensation

Compensation includes a base salary of $64,200.00 - $96,400.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Job Description

As a Data Analyst reporting to the Sr. Manager, Data Infrastructure & Governance, you will be a key player in our data management initiatives. You will contribute to establishing and maintaining robust data governance practices, ensuring the integrity, security, privacy, and quality of our data assets. The ideal candidate will possess knowledge in data governance, data standards, security, overall data infrastructure and various facets of data management, coupled with strong analytical thinking and communication skills.

Responsibilities: 

  • Provide data governance analysis on data quality, operations, storage, reference and master data, data standards, security, vendor governance, metadata 
  • Partner with Legal/Compliance, IBT, People Analytics teams and business leaders to ensure governance of reporting and analytics and adherence of confidential HR data management standards 
  • Help stakeholders understand the implications of key data access decisions by monitoring current and historical usage 
  • Troubleshoot and identify risks related to data quality, data security, and data infrastructure 
  • Fulfill report/analysis requests by applying accepted data governance methodologies and standards 
  • Work with stakeholders to grant data access based on data security standards in a variety of tools including Workday, the ODS (operational data store) and other HR platforms 
  • Perform quality assurance checks on data sources, master data, and metadata 
  • Partner with HR technology and IBT to understand data standards and data quality needs to enable requirements gathering 
  • Audit modeling and naming standards and create source-to-target data mapping documentation 
  • Support data quality and integrity testing against governance frameworks, policies, and standards 
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations and best practices 
  • Help create business glossary and data catalogs for governance of data

Qualifications and Experience

  • BA/BS Degree with 2+ years experience in data/data analytics or equivalent combination of education and experience (MS + 2 years of experience OR 6+ years of relevant experience with no degree) 
  • Technical degree in engineering or computer science preferred 
  • Solid understanding of Data Governance and data management capabilities, previous experience as a Data Governance Analyst a plus
  • Experience with Data Governance, Data Quality, and Access Management tooling such as as Collibra, Alation, Ovaledg,Informatica tool suite (Axon), Informatica Marketplace. or equivalent, ensuring data quality, compliance, and accuracy 
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 2 years’ experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master’s degree and up to 2years’ experience; or 6 years’ experience in a related field
  • Experience in data management, including data modeling, data integration, data quality assurance, and data governance practice
  • Experience in data reporting, including proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g Excel,Tableau, Power BI, Looker) and generating actionable insights from complex datasets to support decision-making processes.
