Sr Program Manager

Job Purpose:

Responsible for all aspects of a program at the site, serving as the site liaison between the company and the customer to ensure customer needs are met. Ensures all program-related decisions are guided by the terms and conditions of the customer’s contract. Understands all aspects required to launch a new program or order. Responsible for customer management and satisfaction, order management and delivery, revenue achievement, business issue resolution (A/R, E&O material issues, PPV, credit, RMA’s), and business development. Understands Sanmina offerings for vertical integration and directs customer appropriately towards additional or alternative Sanmina products or services. 

NATURE OF DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Managing the client relationship and expectations to ensure customer satisfaction related to ongoing delivery of products and services.
  • Ensuring that performance on key metrics meets or exceeds requirements, inclusive of inventory turns, Excess and Obsolete recovery, profit margins, revenue stability and growth, management of customer against contractual terms, on time delivery, quality performance, and accounts receivable collection.
  • Ensuring that all information necessary to the customer is provided in a timely manner
  • Providing budget analysis, labor planning and coordination of activities between client and company personnel.
  • Managing supply/demand plans to ensure all deliverables are coordinated to support on time delivery against Sanmina commitments.
  • Coordinate and deliver quotations to sales organization and/or customers.
  • Ensure execution against contractual requirements.
  • Monitoring programs from initiation through delivery to meet revenue and cost projections.
  • Recommending and driving programs for quality improvement, productivity, and cost reduction to maximize competitive economics for both SANM and customers.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree; preferably in a technical or business related discipline
  • Minimum 8 years experience and as a Program Manager
  • Strong computer skills to include MS Word, Project, and Excel.
  • Solid written/verbal business communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both technical and no technical concepts.
  • Experience with critical path and dependency charts and flow charting.
  • Strong knowledge of product pricing, quoting, contracts and contract negotiation.
  • Excellent database management, computer and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to provide leadership and guidance to others. 
  • Experience in supply chain or working in a manufacturing environment.
