Job Description

POSITION PURPOSE 

As a member of the Global Asset Digitization team, the Product Owner works with the Global Program Lead to scale up Targeted Diagnostics capabilities across the organization and is responsible for transforming valuable digital insights for regional business owners. 

As a Product Owner, you will collaborate closely with regional stakeholders, gathering their input and understanding their unique needs. The role bridges the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring that requirements are translated into actionable user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria.

Leveraging expertise in agile and project management methodologies, you will lead a cross-functional squad, supported by technical teams and regional implementation leads.

MAJOR / KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES 

  • Assist the Global Program Lead by acting as a technical resource: understanding business needs, decoding technical requirements, and coordinating the BRIX backlog with the technical Product Manager and ensuring stories are incorporated as expected. 
  • Acts as a technical advisor to the GPM and stakeholders on key technical decisions, helping the GPO in define, manage, and accept technical stories for the Program. 
  • Formulating and prioritizing the needs, participating and focusing on the story sprint, managing the priority of the product backlog and supervising the development stages with the technical stakeholders. 
  • Part of their work is also to collect and analyze expectations to improve the process as a whole. 
  • Leads a collaborative, agile delivery approach that improves velocity while maintaining a strong focus on both quality and scalability 
  • Use the latest thinking from disciplines such as Agile, Lean, Design Thinking and others to ensure scalable solutions. 
  • Develops strong relationships with regional and functional teams as well as key senior stakeholders 
  • Ensures alignment and support from Flow Illumination team (BRIX), IT, Digital ops, business owners and other technical teams 
  • Drives delivery and continuous improvement approach by utilizing feedback and metrics (quality, delivery rate, etc.) to identify areas of opportunity 
  • Proactively identifies and manages issues, risks and opportunities, while being a decision maker on technical aspects.

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent globally 
  • Desirable Qualifications: 
  • Project Methodology (Agile framework) or certifications (e.g., PSPO) 

EXPERIENCE 

  • 5+ years’ experience leading, managing or influencing multiple functions, geographies and stakeholders (ideally in a Global Digital Program). Experience managing a large, multi-cultural, diverse team. 
  • Significant previous experience creating and leading cross functional and multi-country business change programs. 
  • Experience in a full product development lifecycle, with exposure to a wide array of technologies, methodologies and business environments. 
  • Experience of managing a portfolio of programs and initiatives within a matrix structure, creating/delivering customer value propositions, and leading technology related programs. 
  • Have a sufficient digital background to identify technical issues and be able to interact with the development team. 
  • Experience as Product Owner and working with different business stakeholders in driving product/program vision to deliver value.

  • The individual should have an open mindset, be able to listen and comprehend different opinions and views, document and share through the organization. The position owner should strive for the best approach, but also challenge to do things differently and bring in their perspective.

  • Engineering / Software development background.  
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of an international and cross-functional squad working remotely across multiple time zones.

  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and change. The person will be adaptable and able to pivot in a dynamic environment.
