Eaton’s IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Electro Mechanical Assembler.

The hours for this role are 7am to 3:30 pm

The hourly rate for this position is $24.00 per hour.

What you’ll do:

PRIMARY FUNCTION

To assemble and/or test components using tools and fixtures and working from manufacturing documentation. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Works from work orders, engineering drawings, and visual/written work instructions to assemble electro- mechanical components. 
  • Uses machines or hand tools to crimp, stake, bolt rivet, solder, cement, press fit or perform similar operations to secure parts in place. 
  • Mount electrical components such as transformers, resistors, capacitors, integrate circuits, etc.
  • Makes a variety of electrical connections using soldering or related bonding procedures.
  • Independently troubleshoot and diagnose common failure modes during the assembly process including down to component level where diagnosing leads to component level failure modes
  • Uses complex equipment to assemble, rework, or test products. This includes but is not limited to spot welders, automatic solder suckers, waveform generators, oscilloscopes, function generators, multiple output power supplies, etc. 
  • Assisting Manufacturing Engineering with most intermediate and some advanced troubleshooting and failure analysis on electro-mechanical assemblies.
  • Training others on processes within Value Stream.
  • Identify and initiate continuous improvement for product safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Work in a team environment for flow assembly work.

Qualifications:

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE

  • Trainer on several product families within Value Stream
  • Soldering J Std certification
  • Understanding of electronic theory as it relates to Ohm’s law and the relationship between resistance, current, and voltage. 
  • When an assembly fails resistance at in process or final test the employee should be capable of diagnosing and recommending fixing, where applicable, in most cases. 
  • Capable of measuring resistor components with multimeter
  • Basic Electronics and Mechanical Theory in relation to PC Board troubleshooting 
  • Proficient with most equipment and tools in Value Stream.
  • Excellent quality workmanship and displayed ability of meeting production standards.

MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL AND QUALIFICATION NEEDED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Basic Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED from accredited institution
  • 2+ years’ experience in electro-mechanical environment
  • Resides within 50 miles of location
  • US person within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a US person as a US Citizen, US Permanent resident (Green Card Holder), Political Asylee, or Refugee

Preferred

  • Associates/Technical degree in Electronics
  • 3+ years of soldering experience
  • 3+ years of blueprint reading
  • Understanding and experience with PCB assembly and testing

Skills:

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Position requires use of PPE – Safety glasses, safety shoes, gloves as needed
