Job Description & Summary

A career within Tax services, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients meet and manage their tax obligations across unique but ever changing tax specialties. You’ll advise clients on their local and overseas tax affairs, while acting as a strategic consultant related to business analysis, managing indirect taxes, dispute resolution, and global enterprise tax solutions.

Our team helps our clients identify and reduce tax risks, meet compliance obligations, implement tax strategies that complement business and operational objectives, resolve disagreements with tax authorities, and manage tax accounting and reporting issues. You’ll be engaged in projects dealing with International tax, mergers and acquisitions, state and local tax accounting, regulatory processes, tax reporting and strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Able to manage multiple small projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring clear understanding of client needs and requirements.
  • Track project progress against established timelines and milestones, ensuring timely delivery of project deliverables, while monitoring budget and resource utilization.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, proactively addressing any challenges to project success.
  • Able to facilitate effective communication and coordination between clients, team members, and stakeholders, while attending to both business and technical considerations. 
  • Primary point of contact for clients, establishing and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Regularly provide status and risk updates to manage client expectations. 
  • Solicit and incorporate client feedback into the project planning and execution process to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Experience in managing API development and integration projects.
  • Working collaboratively in a dynamic, ambiguous environment with multiple competing priorities to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Liaise with all levels of staff within the team and user communities.
  • Able to provide guidance, support, and feedback to juniors, ensuring the project scope is completed with high quality, on schedule and within budget.
  • (if Manager) Experience leading and motivating a cross-functional team while fostering a productive and collaborative work environment.

Requirements

  • Recognized University Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or related discipline.
  • 3-5 years of proven working experience as an Agile Project Manager, preferably in a software development or API-focused environment.
  • Project management, communication and analytical skills.
  • Team player with good interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
  • Passionate about learning new things and learning together with the team.
  • Results oriented with an agile mindset.
  • Able to communicate effectively in verbal and written English language with confidence.

Added advantage

  • Strong understanding and practical experience implementing Agile methodologies (e.g. Scrum, Kanban) and related tools (e.g. Azure DevOps, Jira, Trello).
  • Can facilitate and participate in Agile ceremonies, including backlog prioritization, sprint planning, tracking burn-down/velocity, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Possess certifications in Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP).
