The Job At-A-Glance:

Q2 is seeking a Senior Investor Relations Specialist to join the Investor Relations team. This dynamic position encompasses a broad spectrum of responsibilities that demand timely, concise, and crystal-clear communication, independent thinking, critical analysis, robust research capabilities, unwavering attention to detail, and a strong work ethic.

A Typical Day:

  • Develop a strong understanding and expertise of our company, strategy, industry, and sector.
  • Drive the development, planning, and execution of investor relations activities for Q2.
  • Strategically position the company with analysts and investors to drive awareness and build the Company’s long-term brand and valuation.
  • Shepherd an objectives-based investor relations roadmap and execute accordingly.
  • Build and lead long-term relationships with buy- and sell-side analysts to communicate Q2’s growth strategies and increase the quantity and quality of sell side analyst coverage.
  • Manage Q2’s participation in events and other investor interactions, including, but not limited to, leading prospective investor targeting, coordination of investor marketing efforts (non-deal roadshows, investor conferences, etc.), and tracking the efficacy of the engagement efforts.
  • Respond to shareholder requests and provide appropriate information regarding the Q2’s operating results and other publicly communicated releases.
  • Work with marketing and public relations to ensure a consistent corporate image is presented to the investor community.
  • Support quarterly earnings calls, quarterly reporting processes, including support in preparation of our shareholder letter, conference call script, investor presentation, and Q&A, as well as coordinating logistics.
  • Contribute to content creation, including investor presentations and other materials to support internal/external communications/events.
  • Review and analyze sell-side research, including financial models.
  • Analyze 13-F filings and develop a quarterly ownership report, illustrating the composition of our shareholder base, meaningful buying and selling activity, an overview of new investors, and changes in investment style and other trends among our shareholder base.
  • Monitor peer results, industry media coverage, and market research to stay abreast of intelligence and trends.
  • Lead and support coordination of workflows across functional teams, such as Accounting, FP&A, Communications, Legal, Product, Strategy, and Marketing to develop narrative and maintain consistency of messaging.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and senior executives to develop financial press releases, key messages, Q&A documents, investor presentation materials, and related content.
  • Manage our Investor Relations website to ensure accuracy and best practice disclosure.
  • Support maintenance of Investor Relations databases, including contact management system and research library.
  • Perform ad hoc research requests

Bring Your Passion, Do What You Love. Here's What We're Looking For:

  • Deep understanding of financial modeling, valuation, investing, and investment management landscape - particularly within software, financial services, and/or fintech
  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 8 years of related experience; or an advanced degree with 6+ years of experience; or equivalent related work experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas preferred: equity research, investment banking or management, investor relations at a publicly traded company or services firm, sell-side/buy-side, management consulting, and/or corporate/strategic finance role.
  • Experience in financial services, technology and/or software is a definite advantage.
  • Bachelor's degree required, MBA preferred.
  • Exceptional financial literacy expertise including an understanding of financial statements, accounting, related disclosures, operating metrics, and strong familiarity with financial modeling techniques and valuation methods used by analysts and investors.
  • Proven experience and ability to build strong relationships internally and externally with numerous constituencies, including senior executives, analysts, and investors.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with both external and internal stakeholders and the ability to distill complex topics into a concise, consumable format.
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational skills and advanced Excel and Power Point skills.
  • Experience using FactSet, Blomberg, Cap IQ Pro, IPREO or similar solutions preferred.
  • Ability to handle confidential and other sensitive information appropriately.
  • Highly motivated self-starter; able to manage competing priorities in a dynamic business environment, while adhering to our guiding principles.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to identify trends and indicators of future performance.
  • Ability to solve complex problems with creative solutions.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic & fast paced environment.
  • Track record of successfully building and managing processes

  • High level of personal ownership and intellectual curiosity.
  • Must reside within the Austin metro area and be willing to be onsite a minimum of 3 days per week. Some weeks may require additional days on site.
