The Opportunity

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a International Logistics Analyst to support Supply Chain organization in managing transportation related activities and projects.

This is an on site position and may work in either San Diego, CA or Raritan, NJ.

The Responsibilities

  • Lead role in managing Freight RFQ initiatives.
  • Analysis of freight costs and routings to identify and lead initiatives to drive costs out of the network.
  • Manage the Freight Audit and Payment activities with the 3rd Party Freight Audit supplier.
  • Lead role in freight related Initiatives.
  • Ownership of operational / executional relationship with all North American Paid Logistics suppliers and CT Logistics.
  • First Line Ownership of resolution of supplier non-conformance to agreed service levels.
  • Supplier Management responsibility Globally for our key strategic Transportation Suppliers.
  • Partner with Regional Logistics Teams to ensure any supplier non-conformance issues not resolved within a twenty-four hour period are escalated.
  • Partner with Regional Logistics teams and the Logistics Analyst on Supplier Selection and RFQ process – ensuring all Customer and Operations requirements are considered in the process.
  • Chair Monthly Operations and Scorecard Reviews with Logistics Suppliers and participate in Global Quarterly Business Reviews with suppliers. Own the QBR process for a select number of the Global Strategic Suppliers.
  • Agree all Supplier KPI / Scorecard Metrics with Regional Logistics Teams for performance management of local / in region suppliers.
  • Leadership / Coaching for all The International Shipping Team Supervisor and his/her team on cost management for International Shipments.
  • Partner with Regional Logistics Teams on sharing of best practice.
  • Participation in the Global Logistics Community of Expertise.
  • Performs additional work related duties as assigned.

The Individual

Required:

  • 5 years of experience in driving transportation cost management activities
  • 5 Years of experience of managing International Logistics Suppliers
  • Experienced and influential Change Agent
  • Elevated level of International, Logistics Market intelligence/knowledge.
  • Advanced Excel, Power BI, SAP skills.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, data analytics, information technology, or related.
  • Advanced analytics experience
  • Experience working in a Freight Forwarding Company.

The Work Environment

Work environment is primarily an office setting and may on occasion visit distribution environment. Must be willing to work flexible hours to meet business needs.

This position may require travel up to 5% of the time.

Internal partners: Finance, procurement, customers, planning, warehousing and distribution.

External partners: Suppliers

Salary Transparency

The salary range for this position takes into account a wide range of factors including education, experience, knowledge, skills, geography, and abilities of the candidate, in addition to internal equity and alignment with market data. At QuidelOrtho, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The salary range for this position is 42,000-71,000 and is eligible a bonus. QuidelOrtho offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, along with a 401(k) plan, employee assistance program, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, paid time off (including sick time), and paid Holidays. All benefits are non-contractual, and QuidelOrtho may amend, terminate, or enhance the benefits provided, as it deems appropriate.
