The Talent Acquisition (TA) Director of Micron Malaysia & Head of Global Assembly and Test Recruiting (South Asia) will be a critical talent partner to the Micron Malaysia site leadership team in strategizing our external talent engagements so that we can pioneer the external talent ecosystem to build a future ready semiconductor force in Malaysia. This role will provide us with the leadership for setting direction, delivering, and implementing regional recruiting strategies in South Asia which includes India, Malaysia and Singapore and driving the TA strategies for Global Assembly and Test and SG&A functions. The scope of this role includes leading talent acquisition strategy, university relations, recruitment operations, diversity recruitment and talent pipelining programs to realize “Careers For All” and enable Micron to be a world leader in memory and storage solutions. This role will be based in Penang, Malaysia. 

This role requires excellent communication (written and verbal), organizational and interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with and influence all levels of the organization. As the ideal candidate, you can pivot and achieve results in a fast paced environment. You are proactive and have a proven team ethic and work effectively in a cross-functional environment. You coordinate priorities and initiatives, seek to provide clarity, and lead multiple projects simultaneously while meeting key outcomes. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Design and implement talent strategies that pioneer the external talent ecosystem and attract top, diverse talent enabling Micron business growth, vision and mission. 
  • A leader of leaders, they will need to be able to develop next level leaders and engage their leadership team to develop a successful and engaged regional team with a strong growth mindset to partner with the business 
  • Lead global Diversity and Inclusion recruiting strategies including crafting new talent pathways for semiconductor careers, with internal and external partners 
  • Partner with business executives, leaders, and all areas of HR to understand business needs, grow talent pipelines, source for key positions within the company in the present, and in the future and increase our capacity to win the talent war 
  • Lead compliance, leverage metrics and reporting to drive key strategic objectives 

Qualifications & Skills: 

  • Proven track record in building external partnerships with government/educational institutes in Malaysia, recruiting strategy, process, and execution, preferably in a global environment 
  • Strong leadership, coaching and mentoring skills and ability to maintain high performance and develop talent for the future 
  • Data driven capability– ability to influence and drive decisions 
  • Demonstrable ability to improve efficiency, scalability and customer experience 

Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience 
  • Previous experience in a global technology firm, preferably in electronics manufacturing, storage, or memory 
  • Experience in building external partnerships with government/educational institutes in Malaysia 
  • Eye for business, maturity, confidentiality, and experience working with senior executives 
  • Experience delivering results in a fast-paced environment requiring innovation and adapting to a constantly evolving, ambiguous environment
