THE ROLE: Senior Network Engineer

Job Summary:

As a Senior Network Engineer, you will you will perform consultative discovery of the client’s business goals, objectives and challenges and then translate them into effective enterprise architectures. They perform Assessments, Strategy and Roadmap workshops and discuss opportunities for customers to leverage technologies to achieve business outcomes. Principal Architects consult with our customers on their IT and Business requirements to understand the current technology landscape in order to define a desired end state enterprise architecture and roadmap to achieve that end state. 

Travel Requirements:

In this role you will be expected to travel up to 30% nationally. This role will be based in Atlanta, GA.

Job Responsibilities: 

  • In coordination with the Account Management Team, meeting with key customers at their place of business to discuss our consulting approach, capabilities, and deliverable options.
  • Define and scope statements of work for customer engagements. 
  • Deliver Billable Consulting engagements including activities such as:
  • Performing Assessments, including Architecture Assessments, Design Assessments, and Engineering / Configuration Assessments.
  • Executing Strategy and Planning sessions with customers to create multi-year strategies to ensure business requirements are met
  • Creating detailed, implementation-level Designs that align with the business strategy, the customer’s budget, and operational support capabilities.
  • Prepare and present Engagement deliverables to the customer
  • Work with the Solution Architecture team to allow them to finalize any follow-up actions including Bills of Materials, Statements of Work for remediation, etc.
  • Collaborate well as part of a multi-functional team with Sales, Pre-Sales, Project Management and other delivery/engineering resources

Required Skills: 

  • Hands-on network and security experience designing, implementation and optimizing complex environments
  • Possess leadership capabilities to lead design discussions, propose out of the box solutions, govern industry best practices, provide guidance to customer, as well as on site engineering team
  • Experienced expert with complex multi-protocol routing and switching solutions (Cisco)
  • Deep expertise with network discovery, EoX, best practices analysis, capacity analysis and overall network architecture review.
  • SD-WAN – Must have experience with one or more of the following SD-WAN technologies (Viptela, Silverpeak, VeloCloud, Fortinet, Cloudgenix)
  • Experienced expert with one or more NGFW/VPNs (Cisco, Palo Alto, FortiGate)
  • Must be able to travel to client locations outside the State of GA on occasion as needed

Additional Desired Skills: 

  • Preferred an active CCIE Certification or equivalent experience
  • SDDC – Experience with one or more of the following SDDC (Cisco ACI, VMware NSX-T, Arista CloudVision)
  • Hybrid & public cloud networking – Experience with one or more of the following Hybrid & public cloud networking (AWS, Azure, Google, Aviatrix)
  • Load balancers (F5, NetScaler, Avi, NGINX)
  • Wifi – Experienced with Deployment (Cisco, Meraki, Aruba), Configuration, tuning, and Surveying tools (Ekahau)
  • Strong knowledge of network design and applications, including designing IP addressing
  • Familiarity with network programming & automation (APIs, Scripting, PYTHON, JSON, Ansible, Postman) is strongly desired.

Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and/or military experience
  • Overall 7-10+ years of experience in hands-on network and security experience designing, implementation and optimizing complex environments
