Build your career with IU Health! We have an exciting opportunity available for a Senior Public Relations Associate to join the System Services, Corporate Communications team at our Fairbanks location. 

The Senior Public Relations Associate serves as media relations contact and corporate reputation steward for IU Health. Achieves proactive and reactive news coverage locally, statewide, and nationally. Identifies and shapes story opportunities and contributes to reporting functions. Maintains excellent relationships with the media and organizational partners. Assists with issues that could negatively impact the reputation of the organization and makes recommendation for action. Maintains an ongoing knowledge of current events and news, and social media.

  • Bachelor's Degree required in Communications, English, or related field.
  • 3-5+ years of related experience required.
  • Requires extensive knowledge of public relations strategies and tactics.
  • Requires proven experience working with the media.
  • Requires the ability to seek out and form story ideas and sources.
