PURPOSE: 

Serves as the creative lead for the enterprise, bringing creative concepts to life through the design, development and publishing of public-facing websites, email, social media, online ads, other digital content, marketing assets and communications. The role manages a multi-disciplinary team of graphic designers, digital designers, web editors, developers and production staff ensuring that business objectives and corporate marketing goals are met. Collaborates with leaders across the organization on driving business results from the idea phase to the execution for all creative projects.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Provide creative direction to deliver vision on strategy, on brand, and on brief. Lead strategic direction of holistic organizational design standards, design recommendations, and action plans to close gaps and address opportunities. Provide art direction for print, digital, environmental and corporate collateral, including campaigns, direct mail, product communications, presentations, websites, etc. to meet business objectives. Direct the creative outputs and strategic vision for the design team, creative agencies and vendors.
  • Oversee the end-to-end digital design, development, publishing and distribution of marketing communications and public facing websitesfrom concept to launch. Leads maintaining corporate websites, social media and other digital assets current and consistent with best practices, within the industry and across other industries. Leads strategic design solutions based on web usability researched-based results to meet corporate goals. Identifies best practices for featuring specific content on websites, increasing call-to-action click-through rates, driving users through goal-oriented tasks and encouraging more members to log in to their account. Determines current and best practice approach to web and digital communications to optimize the site user experience. Identifies the latest digital innovations for content access and digestion (including the integration of multimedia such as videos, infographics and other digital tools) to enhance the web experience while making the websites accessible.
  • Manages team of design professionals including (but not limited to) staff evaluations, performance plans, development plans, recruiting, work assignments and general oversight of all tasks. Provides coaching, feedback and mentoring to direct reports. Sets day-to-day priorities for team working with other groups and departments as needed. Provides subject matter related expertise in guiding the team to maximize their contribution to the organization. Conducts hiring and onboarding of new team 
  • Develops and leads creative review of all design work by examining client objectives for direct marketing, sales promotions, events, campaigns, sponsorships, web development and advertising; analyzing products/services characteristics; examining design strategy options. Reviews all design projects to ensure quality and brand integrity and facilitates peer reviews.

QUALFICIATIONS:

Education Level: Bachelor's Degree Digital and Creative Design, Marketing, Business or related field.

Experience: 8 years demonstrated progressive experience at an ad agency and/or in-house creative service

3 years management experience

  • Must be able to effectively work in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing priorities, deadlines, and workloads that can be variable for long periods of time. Must be able to meet established deadlines and handle multiple customer service demands from internal and external customers, within set expectations for service excellence. Must be able to effectively communicate and provide positive customer service to every internal and external customer, including customers who may be demanding or otherwise challenging.

  • Salary Range: $120,880.00- $203,985.00

This compensation range is specific and considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilites of the position, the candidate's work experience, education/training, internal peer equity, and market and business consideration. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of the range, as compensation decisions depend on each case's facts and circumstances, including but not limited to experience, internal equity, and location.
