The BizOps & Strategy Group is at the heart of the transformation of Global Business Services (GBS) and the broader central functions within Wolters Kluwer. The group provides thought leadership to identify, assess, implement and manage different aspects of a rich pipeline of operational improvements across Wolters Kluwer. The team helps manage the change agenda prioritizing opportunities, analyzing options, engaging with vendors and coordinating with the technology, finance and strategic sourcing groups to execute the different initiatives. BizOps & Strategy becomes engaged in all aspects of these initiatives: from opportunity identification and creative brainstorming on options, to business case development, program/project management, oversight, monitoring and communications. 

We are seeking an individual with superior intellect, analytical ability, and strong interpersonal skills to join a world-class BizOps & Strategy Group in one of the leading software, information and services, companies. This is a hybrid role (3 days a week) reporting to the VP, Operational Excellence & Business Analytics and under the leadership of the SVP, Global Strategic Sourcing & Business Operations & Strategy. #LI-Hybrid

Required Job Qualifications (Minimum):

  • Experience: Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience, preference for candidates with experience in strategy and operations at a major corporation or at a strategy and management consulting firm
  • Advanced skills in PowerPoint and Excel required
  • Education: Bachelors Degree in Finance or similar required
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the USA.

  • Experience: Additional analytical tool knowledge
  • Bilingual with cross-cultural work experience
  • Strong leadership skills and the aptitude to lead complex operational and strategic initiatives 
  • Distinctive problem-solving and analysis skills, combined with impeccable business judgment 
  • Superior ability to present to executives and communicate with technical management teams 
  • Analytical skills to assess, research, interpret and analyze data 
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple programs/initiatives with time sensitive deadlines 
  • Ability to indirectly influence and lead cross business units and/or cross functional teams 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization 
  • Excellent written and verbal communications 
  • Education: MBA

Essential Responsibilities:

There’s no “typical” day for a member of the BizOps & Strategy team. Depending on the opportunity area being addressed, the activities span - data analyses, interviewing internal and external experts, identifying new opportunities to improve service levels and/or operational costs, leading and participating in brainstorming sessions, operationalizing identified opportunities, creating strategic plans, designing, launching and monitoring pilot projects, and in general helping improve the effectiveness and efficiency of every function/focus area you touch through a hard focus on tangible KPIs. 

One thing is for certain, as a Director of the BizOps & Strategy group, you will be central to leading significant global strategic and operational change across Wolters Kluwer. 

Working within the BizOps & Strategy group, the Director will manage relationships with various functional leaders in Technology, Procurement, Finance and the group’s Executive team. Consequently, the group provides the opportunity to drive results, owning and influencing the entire life cycle from strategy to execution, facilitated through exposure to the most senior function leaders. .

  • Explore and identify strategic and operational opportunities across the organization that enhance efficiency, reduce complexity, and improve and streamline processes 
  • Work with executive leadership to define, launch, and drive strategic and operational projects 
  • Lead projects from opportunity identification to implementation, practicing strong program management, change management and reporting 
  • Perform robust data analysis to drive powerful data driven decisions 
  • Collaborate with BizOps team members, functional leaders and subject matter experts 
  • Drive the development of the team and continue to strengthen team culture

Compensation:

Target salary range CA, CT, CO, HI, NY, WA: $182,500-$258,350
