This team will focus on product development and product strategy for Oracle Health while building out a complete platform supporting modernized, automated healthcare. Title: Software Developer 4 (IC4)

will be responsible for handling Oracle Health Applications & Infrastructure Databases (Prod & Non-Prod), performing Oracle Database monitoring, migrations, upgradation, high availability, disaster recovery, tackle, and performance tuning of Production and Non-Production Databases. The Ideal candidate will be responsible migrating the Oracle Database to Oracle ADB and OCI project as well. A candidate with a Development DBA approach and SQL coding/optimization-related experience would be preferred. This work is important to stay ahead of on software and hardware technologies. It is meaningful to keep the customers stable and performant to fulfill our contractual obligations to the customers.

We seek hardworking SDE's with hands-on experience using Oracle and MS SQL Server databases, Oracle Cloud, Oracle Autonomous Database, and Oracle Golden Gate. We seek Software developers with a Development DBA approach having good knowledge and experience in TSQL, PL/SQL, Golden Gate, Oracle cloud (OCI), and SQL coding/optimization-related experience.

You will also develop standardised work plans, documentation, processes, and automation. Willingness to work additional hours as needed and allowed by local laws is important. The main focus is to keep the lights on, ensuring customer databases are stable and performant to fulfill our contractual obligations to customers.

Additionally, you will be part of the OHAI roadmap projects, such as migrating the Database to Oracle Cloud and Autonomous Databases

Minimum Qualifications

At least 6+ years of experience using Oracle and MS SQL Server technologies having a Development DBA approach.

2+ years of experience using OCI, and Oracle Autonomous Databases.

1+ years of experience using Oracle Golden Gate.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience/master’s degree (Information Technology/Mathematics/Computer Science/Computer Software/Electronics/Operational Research/Computer System Engineering).

Ability to work in a collaborative, multi-functional team environment.

Solid grasp of Computer Science concepts

Knowledge of Python, Perl, and/or Shell Scripting

Leading production databases running on UNIX flavors (RHEL, OEL).

OHAI Database Services Team is actively seeking a reliable Software Developer to join our dynamic team. This position is based in India and presents an exciting opportunity to chip in to the improvement of healthcare services within a multifaceted multi-tenant cloud environment. As a Developer, will be instrumental in achieving our mission to improve healthcare services. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Install, upgrade, and configure Oracle and MS SQL Server database software.
  • Database Migration & Upgradation, Replication, Filtration and transformation of Data. 
  • Write and optimize database code using TSQL and PL/SQL.
  • Triage and solve sophisticated database issues, identify root cause, and implement corrective actions.
  • Establish standard processes for database tuning, performance monitoring, capacity management and automation.
  • Apply database software updates and stand-alone hotfixes to Customer environments.
  • Collaborate with various teams viz. Development/IP teams and other support teams.
  • Communicate with 3rd party software or hardware manufactures as needed to ensure efficient configuration and support.
  • Consult with development teams on efficient database solutions, data architectures, and database physical structure and functional capabilities.
  • Evaluate and implement process and technology improvements to improve availability, capacity and performance of database systems.
  • Lead development of business continuity and disaster recovery plans, processes, and procedures on database technologies and cloud databases
  • Supply to strategic projects outlined in our roadmap, focusing on transitioning on-premises databases to Oracle Cloud.
  • Migrate databases to the Autonomous Database, ensuring a flawless transition for efficient performance.
  • Work closely with multiple teams, actively participating in the execution of roadmap projects.
