In this role as the Senior Merchant for Global Women's, you will inform and lead in developing a consumer and market relevant, Global category assortment driving strategic initiatives to unlock the next phase of growth of the Levis brand. 

You will report to the Director Merchandising, Levi's® Global Women's Tops.

About the Job

  • Direct the creation of a consumer-focused global product strategy. Influence internal and external partner's around strategic vision driving commonality across regions to maximize productivity. Monitor and share competitor trends including strategies for different markets.
  • Lead relevant consumer insights projects and serve as the category expert, utilizing consumer insights to inform and bring product strategy and initiatives.
  • Promote consumer at the core for all assortment and product decisions, using data and insights, bring the voice of the consumer, marketplace and competitive landscape into the forefront of product and assortment discussions.
  • Create an assortment strategy based on analysis of both the Levi's and competitor marketplace while considering global and local requirements. Clear understanding of Levis brand identity and heritage.
  • Engage and partner with regions/affiliates to ensure understanding of merchandising recommendations and develop insights into the local markets. Partner with regional merchants for understanding and to gain specific geographic expertise.
  • Expert in the industry, one who understands regions market share and opportunities to grow based on consumer segmentation and global trends.
  • Partner with the Director, on global strategy and the long-range category plan. Manage metrics for multiple categories. Influence SBP and strategy
  • Participate and present in the weekly, monthly, and quarterly business review meetings and update the design and PD partners on product sales.
  • Work with Global Merchandising Planning on building Assortment Financial Framework targets at the outset of the season.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Global Merchandising Team to achieve GTM activities and continual improvement of our ways of working, including piloting new systems and tools.
  • Partner with the regional merchandising team to develop a compelling global product offering for a category or segment, aligned with big ideas of the brand. Interpret and incorporate regional brief requirements in developing a global brief.
  • Mentor teammates and Build cross-functional relationships.

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in related discipline (8+ years combined college education and work experience may be substituted for a degree)
  • Minimum 5 years direct merchandising experience working at an apparel manufacturer or Retailer.
  • Minimum 3 years in a management role with responsibility for team leadership and development
  • In-depth knowledge of merchandising and design trends in the global marketplace
  • Knowledge of garment design and construction
  • Proficient in excel (can perform complex functions) 

The expected starting salary range for this role is $116,300-$175,900. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on the location of the role. The amount a particular employee will earn within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, performance and business needs.
