Oncology is recruiting for a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join the service line. This position will be responsible for caring for outpatients in the Cancer Center clinic setting. The ideal candidates are a self-actualized person who thrives in a highly collaboratively environment. This person will work with a multi-disciplinary team of Hematology and Oncology specialists and nursing staff.
Basic duties include: partnering with Oncology MD in clinic setting in La Crosse and outreach locations; participate in Cancer Center Urgent Care related to any urgent visits/calls in the Cancer Center; evaluate new patients in Hem/Onc, supporting complex care coordination, clinic practice, and teaching opportunities; Bone Marrow biopsy procedures; participate in Multidisciplinary Clinics; Provide Survivorship Care for cancer patients.
The NP/PA will support the Hem/Onc team with histories & physicals, evaluations, treatment planning, pre- and post-op care, and collaboration of care. Work hours will include a rotation of Monday through Friday. A Wisconsin license and completion of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program is required.
