People & Culture Senior Specialist, Hong Kong, and Taiwan

Summary of the Role:

The People & Culture Senior Specialist is responsible for implementing and monitoring HR policies and procedures that are aligned with corporate strategies and compliant with local legal regulations in Hong Kong and Taiwan. This role acts as a key HR point of contact, supports talent acquisition and retention, ensures legal compliance, and fosters a positive work environment.

Responsibilities of the Role:

P&C Activities for Hong Kong & Taiwan:

  • Serve as the primary contact for managers and employees regarding HR issues.
  • Execute and manage all HR activities including employee lifecycle management, compensation, and benefits, leave management, data reporting, disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations, employee engagement and morale, occupational health and safety, and local training and development initiatives.

Talent Acquisition and Retention:

  • Develop talent acquisition strategies tailored to business needs and manage the recruitment process from talent search to onboarding.
  • Collaborate with P&C partners and business leaders to align staffing, recruitment, and retention strategies with organizational goals.

Legal Compliance and Labor Relations:

  • Ensure company policies comply with local employment laws and regulations in Hong Kong and Taiwan.
  • Review and update policies and practices to maintain legal compliance.
  • Assist in compensation and benefit adjustments to ensure internal fairness and adherence to company guidelines.
  • Investigate personnel issues and coordinate with HR experts to manage cases.

Implementation of Corporate P&C Policies & Processes:

  • Develop and implement P&C policies, processes, and initiatives to support compliance and strategic needs.
  • Support change management efforts in collaboration with line management.

Requisites for the Role:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5-8 years of HR experience, preferably in an international or multinational company.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with HRIS and talent management systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Chinese and English.
  • Strong organizational, time management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and adapt to organizational and employee needs.
