Danfoss Power Solutions is looking for a Senior System Safety Engineer to join the Danfoss Autonomy team in Nordborg, Denmark. As a member of this global development team, your focus will be to help ensure our autonomous systems operate safely. You will be responsible for understanding the latest safety standards for autonomous off-road vehicles, embedding the necessary methodologies in our development processes, and educating the organization and customers about these methods. As we develop autonomous solutions and engage in customer projects, you will lead safety analyses, such as HARA and SOTIF, determine safety cases, derive system level safety requirements, select components to meet those system safety requirements, and build and execute system safety validation plans.
As a person, you are self-motivated, collaborative, creative, open-minded, enjoy working with software and hardware, and are good at working with others, across borders and cultures. You are able to explain technical concepts to people of various backgrounds and positions, including to customers. You can expect approximately up to 10% travel activity per year and sometimes your flexibility is needed as you work with people globally.
To be considered for this position, you must have a degree in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, or related engineering field from an accredited college or university. Strong communication and collaboration skills, along with an understanding of machines, sensors and software are desired.
