Head of Performance Marketing

As the Head of Performance Marketing, you will build the strategic vision for our multi-channel performance marketing efforts within the Enterprise Marketing team. This leadership role involves crafting and scaling innovative marketing strategies that meet key business goals and objectives. You will lead media and measurement teams in effective full-funnel campaign planning, execution, and reporting, managing media budgets and foster a culture of continuous curiosity.

Driven by consumer-first marketing principles and a collaborative spirit, you will manage media strategies that open up digital channels that drive brand differentiation and business growth. You will take charge of driving data-driven insights for marketing investment optimization to drive budget efficiency and measurable business impact. You Will:

Set the strategic vision and development of a performance marketing framework ensuring optimal allocation and optimization of marketing dollars to drive innovation, growth, and measurable business impact. Driving the development of a performance marketing function that focuses on scalable strategies across customer acquisition, retention, and engagement efforts.

  • Craft a multi-year marketing strategy that reimagines our approach to full funnel marketing, advancing our lead generation techniques, supporting our distribution strategy, and unlocking new channels.
  • Lead pivotal initiatives to ensure Guardian dollars are spent wisely with continuous marketing optimization. Prioritize key channels and find opportunities to balance efficient performance with targeted lower funnel tactics and higher funnel brand building.
  • Collaborate with key collaborators including Data, Product, Technology and Product teams to refine audience targets and develop campaigns that deliver on key performance indicators.
  • Lead a broad approach to media planning and investment, focusing on brand differentiation and business growth across both Group and Individual Market segments. Implement new media strategies, adopt emerging technologies and tools to foster continuous learning and increase marketing competitiveness.
  • Institute a test and learn framework that encourages strategic experimentation, ensuring findings are repeatable and scalable across marketing initiatives.
  • Serve as a strategic steward in crafting and driving a transformational enterprise membership strategy roadmap aimed at driving customer lifetime value. Drive the strategic and operational development of direct-to-consumer marketing strategies, to meet growth objectives.
  • Establish a unified marketing measurement framework that provides actionable insights and drives data-driven decision-making. Develop insightful dashboards and comprehensive reports that demonstrate a rigorous, data-driven approach that conveys meaningful outcomes to leadership teams.

You Have:

  • 15+ years' experience in acquisition and growth marketing with traditional and digital channels.
  • Extensive background in DTC marketing strategies, with understanding of media consumption behaviors and using insights to drive engagement and conversions.
  • Demonstrated success in expanding marketing investments with quantifiable results.
  • Proven expertise in developing paid media strategies that improve return on investment and contribute to overall brand growth.
  • Bachelor's degree (with a concentration in Marketing, Business Administration or Communications preferred) or equivalent experience required.
  • Experience in the Insurance or financial services industry marketing with experience on both client and agency side preferred but not necessary.

Location & Travel:

  • New York, NY (Hudson Yards)
  • Hybrid role –in office 2-3 days a week
  • WFH – 2+ days a week.

Salary Range

The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
