Work Flexibility: Hybrid

Manages the implementation and/or maintenance of one or more accounting systems: Journal entries, General Ledger, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payable, Revenue Reconciliation, Cash Flows, etc. in accordance with GAAP policies and procedures. Designs operational procedures and processes that meet audit standards and improve efficiency. Ensures integration of data produced into systems and supports objectives of financial analysts. Ensures the accurate compilation, analysis and reporting of accounting data and revenue. Participates in annual audits and special projects. May work with external consultants or auditors to provide required information and ensure proper recordkeeping for historical purposes.

The job requires professional knowledge gained through substantial applicable work experience, to supplement formal knowledge, in order to apply principles and concepts of own discipline in resolving issues as they arrive. The job has full management of a team, including management of people, defining roles and responsibilities, planning for the department's future needs and operations, counselling employees on performance and contributing to employee pay decisions or changes.

What you will do:

  • Responsible for managing the performance of the team, KPI’s 
  • Ensure a high level of employee engagement on their team. 
  • Supervise month-end close activities and communicate risks and opportunities to Associate Manager. 
  • Responsible to ensure timely and quality completion of period close processes and account reconciliations 
  • Play a key role in the work migration activities from other Stryker locations, including knowledge transfer and documentation activities 
  • Manage analysis of balance sheet and P&L transactions. 
  • Review, control and approve account reconciliations and journal entries 
  • Find opportunities to improve accounting activities and drive process improvement 
  • Ensure Sox controls are properly completed 
  • Take leadership role for accounting related issues and ensure company adherence to policies and procedures, US GAAP and local GAAP 
  • Maintain business partnerships with other client departments, locations and regions, and internal customers/suppliers. 
  • Complete special projects as assigned. 
  • Performs other related work as assigned by management 
  • Work with Internal and external audit teams to review and enforce policies 

What you need :

  • University degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or other related areas is preferred. 
  • Fluent spoken and written English; other language is a plus 
  • Intermediate to advanced skills on the MS Office Suite 
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience as Team Lead or Supervisor of business-to-business RTR teams.
