Job Title: User Experience Designer, HOKA NA eCommerce

Reports to: UX & Personalization Manager, HOKA NA

Location: Remote

The Role

The User Experience Designer works with the eCommerce, Technology, OMNI and Brand Marketing teams to build optimized digital experiences for the eCommerce Consumer for the HOKA.com U.S. and Canada websites. Qualified candidates will have a strong background in UX design, experience working in a test-and-learn culture, and be fluent in best practices for mobile-first optimizations involving A/B testing and segmentation strategies throughout the customer journey from pre-checkout to post-checkout. 

Success in this role requires the experience necessary to drive cross-functional collaboration; lead, manage, and execute multiple tests to support channel initiatives; provide guidance and recommendations based on data-backed insights; and actively participate in decisions on optimizing the channel to drive business. 

The position will work on the HOKA North American DTC eCommerce Team. The role will require participation in discussions to represent the regional initiatives and strategic priorities to the Global UX team.

Your Impact

The primary functions of this role, include but are not limited to:

  • Partner with the eCommerce brand leads to collaborate on the optimization of onsite consumer journeys 
  • Drive business opportunities through behavioral analytics 
  • Partner with UI designers and developers to execute tests that support user journeys defined by personalization and segmentation strategies 
  • Define associated success criteria across stakeholders 
  • Build regional (North America) branded experiences 
  • Understand and consider brand ethos and marketing direction as well as channel-specific consumer segments to tailor experiences to segmented audiences and user groups 
  • Drive in-season execution and prioritization of targeted personalization and AB testing campaigns based on pre-season plans. 
  • Own feedback loop on campaign performance to influence pre-season planning 
  • Identify and prioritize UX research questions based on the analysis of existing product designs, business needs, project goals and risks 
  • Perform rapid and thorough data analysis to uncover insightful and actionable opportunities 
  • Propose and champion new iterative tests and executions based on findings 
  • Clearly communicate work-in-progress status to ensure alignment with cross-functional teams 
  • Own communication of results, insights, and next steps to stakeholders 
  • Drive mobile-first thinking 
  • Keep a pulse on UX and digital design trends and best practices; actively pursue opportunities 
  • Understand and ensure standard Global UX processes to scale and maximize opportunities across teams

We’d love to hear from people with

Education/Certifications: 

  • Bachelors Degree in related field preferred but not required 

Work Experience: 

  • 5+ years experience in user experience or related field 
  • eCommerce experience 
  • Experience with Figma or related user interface tool 
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate concepts and visualize user journeys through prototypes, storyboards, and wireframes, etc 
  • Experience with AB testing and personalization tools like Optimizely, Dynamic Yield, Google Optimize; and user journey analysis tools like HotJar, Crazy Egg, and Content Square. 
  • Basic understanding of HTML5, CSS and Javascript-based applications (no coding is required for this role) 
  • Excellent communications skills -- in-person, written, and presentation 
  • Highly organized, process-oriented, with strong experience in project management 
  • Experience in facilitating collaboration and brainstorming sessions across multiple-teams 
  • Deep understanding behavioral analytic tools and Google Analytics a plus 
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum Methodology and project management software a plus 
  • Strategic, business-building approach to UX research with a passion for translating data into bottom-line impact

$116,000 - $126,000

The salary range posted reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this role in our Goleta, CA location. Individual pay will be determined by location and additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
