Your New Role…

The Senior Digital Video/Social Producer is a master of audience-first storytelling, responsible for devising social and digital content strategies that engage with audiences and contribute to the sponsorship KPIs. Working as the features team’s expert in social and digital video storytelling, the Senior Producer will collaborate with our international team of video storytellers to ideate and produce outstanding content, and will partner with our internal Content Insights team to review content performance and translate data into practical learnings and benchmarks.

In this role you will continuously look at innovating to find ways of engaging with and building niche communities around defined subjects like the environment, arts, travel, sport, and business, and will utilise your keen interest in regional trends with a particular focus on our engaged African and the Middle East viewers. In addition, the Senior Social and Digital Video Producer will also be required to work with CNN’s on-air talent and producers to commission multiplatform content from field assignments. 

Your Role Accountabilities…

  • Building active social communities around feature strands
  • Running creative brainstorming sessions with the wider production team on stories and formats that will engage digital audiences
  • Overseeing the delivery and execution of commercial social sponsorships
  • Building strong partnerships with CNN’s Digital Video and Off-Platforms teams and maintaining open communication around best practices and network priorities
  • Partnering with the Content Insights team to translate data into practical learnings, prepare performance reports and set useful benchmarks
  • Manage freelancers or specialist contractors as required.
  • Play a critical leadership role within the wider team – running workshops, editorial meetings and signing off projects.
  • Writing, producing and editing enterprise video storytelling as required

Qualifications & Experience…

  • Proven journalism/community management experience 
  • Relevant experience and passion in using social media as a publishing and audience engagement tool
  • Proven track record of creating engaging content (written, video, social) that drives traffic and engagement
  • Strong editorial judgment
  • Experience producing and editing graphics, video and/or photos
  • Extreme fluency in social media publishing and analytics tools and products
