Position Title: Finance Analyst Business Unit

Job Location: Bangalore, KA-India

Job Description:

  • To independently perform Treasury functions that deal with financial analysis issues of medium complexity, which support business processes and provide further experience to be promoted to positions of greater responsibility.
  • From the outset, the Finance Analyst in a Treasury Center of Excellence is expected to be a contributing performer, using knowledge of finance and experience gained from previous positions to support Treasury Technology activities & tools.
  • Ability to work in US night shifts to support Global operations.
  • Provide Treasury technology support in terms of provisioning access, maintaining static data & Bank account management data.
  • Participate in the improvement ideas and projects.

Additionally, this position will:

  • Develop an expanded understanding of Caterpillar’s business and finance practices, Treasury systems and procedures.
  • Accomplish a high level of output with a broad range of basic analysis of Treasury Technology support Operations.
  • Advise employees and entry level finance professionals.
  • Generate reports and provide commentary.
  • The Finance Analyst in a Treasury COE identifies relevant function-related data, provides feedback, and influences decisions.
  • Typically, decisions will impact medium-risk issues.
  • The Finance Analyst at a Treasury COE will be responsible for making front-line decisions within defined areas of responsibility.
  • Work will be directed by a Treasury Manager, but this position does not require close supervision to be effective.
  • Finance responsibilities are of medium complexity of providing support for the Treasury tools to the global users.
  • The Finance Analyst at a Treasury COE demonstrates knowledge and ability to independently resolve issues by following guidelines or previously used effective solutions.
  • They are highly motivated and demonstrate good communication skills and have an expanded knowledge of Caterpillar’s businesses, products, suppliers, customers and policies.
  • This position manages the completion of its own work assignments and coordinates work with others.
  • Administering bank portal and bank data management tools in terms of static data maintenance.
  • Background/Experience
  • Requires a college degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Economics and 4-5 years of finance/treasury experience in supporting Treasury Technology tools at L1 & L2 level.
  • Requires initiative, leadership, and ability to communicate effectively.
  • Knowledge of technical support of Treasury tools e.g Quantum, Trax, Bank Account management tools will be added advantage.
