Job Description & Summary

A career in Finance, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to help A.F.Ferguson & Co,, in all aspects of our Finance internal function including financial planning, finance operations, management and financial reporting, tax compliances data analysis, and assisting leadership with overall strategy. You’ll focus on overseeing the recording of financial transactions, paying and receiving invoices, maintaining financial statement ledger accounts, preparing management and financial reports and submitting sales and income tax returns.

As Finance Manager, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. PwC Professional skills and responsibilities for this management level include but are not limited to: 

  • Provide an overview of the organization's financial performance, position, and cash flows. 
  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the finance and accounts department including payable, receivable, tax and payroll 
  • Monitor and analyze accounting data and prepare financial reports and statements 
  • Conduct detailed analyses and reconciliations of invoices i.e., scrutinizing financial records, comparing transaction data, and identifying discrepancies. 
  • Manage and lead the finance and accounts team and provide guidance and mentorship to team members. 

Preferred skills

  • 5-6 Years of proven work experience in a similar role 
  • In-depth understanding of cash flow management, bank reconciliation and bookkeeping, taxation and accounting 
  • Hands-on experience with budgeting and risk management 
  • Excellent skills in data analysis and forecasting models 
  • Proficiency in Tier 1 ERP software 
  • Solid analytical and decision-making skills 
  • Leadership abilities 
  • Bachelors or Masters in Accounting and Finance or relevant field, CA/ACCA/ACMA or any other relevant certification
