We are seeking a dynamic and experience Senior Agility Coach to join our team. As a Senior Agile Coach, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the coaching culture within our organisation and driving impactful results across the Group. This will entail working across departments developing leaders and extending agility across the Group to enable the vision and strategic goals for the Commonwealth Bank.

As a coach you will also have the tools and techniques to strategically guide, coach and mentor leaders to create a culture of continuous improvement and learning resulting in exceptional outcomes for our customers and Group. Collaborating closely with senior leadership across the bank, you will ensure that our coaching initiatives meet Group objectives and foster individual and team growth. You will lead by example, demonstrating exceptional coaching skills while guiding and empowering other coaches to excel in their roles.

You are good at:

  • Coaching delivery and helping teams understand and implement metrics that matter
  • Applying and presenting complex problems to a wide range of stakeholders with varied agile maturity.
  • Leading and working collaboratively to celebrate agile change.
  • Building rapport and establishing trust with stakeholders of all levels.
  • Having exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Identifying complex challenges and providing innovative solutions for teams to implement.
  • Having a growth mindset and role modelling this for others.

We are interested in hearing from people who have:

  • Built and lead an agile capability of large teams across the Group through coaching, mentoring, training, facilitating and advising at scale.
  • Extensive experience coaching at various levels within large organisations including at an executive suite level (Financial Services experience desirable).
  • Possess coaching accreditations (e.g. IC-ENT Enterprise agile) along with certifications relating to agile and product principles such as Lean/SixSigma/SAFe/Kanban/Scrum.org
  • Influenced leadership at all levels through clear communication to drive the consistent uplift of agile culture, mindset and maturity of the coaching capability across the Group.
  • Ability to lead and prioritise workload in a highly dynamic environment with frequently changing and often competing priorities.
  • Uplifted teams’ continuous improvement in performance through establishing, embedding and measuring metrics as well as providing insights for coaching and squad maturity.
  • Experience in assisting teams to accurately identify and resolves risks, issues that impact on the effectiveness, quality, and flow/velocity of customer outcomes.
  • Experience and expertise with Agile principles/frameworks and Product management and development and growth strategy.
  • Understanding of Organisational Design, Human-Centred Design and growth strategy.
  • Expertise in coaching teams. Create consistent uptake of agile practices across all levels of the Group
  • Deep understanding and extensive experience with JIRA and other software in line with agile methodologies.
  • Ability to facilitate the creation and management of Objective Key Results (OKRs) with stakeholders to ensure they are communicated via backlog priorities and accurately reported.
