THE POSITION

In support of a high-growth mandate, we’re hiring for a Lab and Referral Operations Coordinator to join our dynamic and highly engaged Customer Support Operations team. You’ll have the opportunity to personally impact the future of healthcare by providing administrative support to our clinician network to ensure that patients receive accurate and timely lab work results.

In this position, you’ll be the first point of contact to assign incoming lab-related documents and faxes to our clinician network for review in accordance with Maple’s policies and procedures, including privacy and information security requirements. Day-to-day admin duties include scanning and uploading mailed documents into the Maple platform, notifying patients of upcoming lab work appointments, verifying fax information, confirming demographic patient information, and more.

Critical to success in this role will be your computer proficiency, time management, and organizational skills, coupled with a strong eye for detail and passion for process. You thrive in a well-structured environment that’s fast-paced, highly supportive, and collaborative.

Note: a healthcare or clinical background is not required for this position, however, it may be considered an asset depending on the level of experience.

12 – 18 MONTH DELIVERABLES

Within the first 90 days, you will demonstrate a high level of autonomy and comfort in performing your daily duties with a strong adherence to Maple’s policies and procedures. You’ll have established strong relationships with your teammates, cross-functional stakeholders, and our clinician network.

In the next 12-18 months, you’ll become highly proficient in your daily lab operations, demonstrating increased efficiency and productivity.

  • CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • The ideal candidate possesses 3 years of work experience in an administrative role. A Bachelor’s Degree or Post-Secondary Certificate is considered an asset. 
  • The candidate is highly detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality. They have a proven track record of improving efficiency while ensuring work complies with policies and procedures.
  • The Lab and Refferal Operations Coordinator is a strong communicator who can clearly convey and receive messages to meet the needs of colleagues and other stakeholders.
  • With a proven technical competency, the candidate is able to quickly learn and become an expert user of various software platforms. Existing experience with Google Suite, Adobe (PDF management), and Slack is considered an asset.
