GYMNASTICS AND NINJA INSTRUCTOR

As a Gymnastics and Movement Ed Instructor, you are responsible for providing a safe, stimulating class environment for children while displaying a positive, dynamic attitude that encourages children's self-esteem.

Position Qualifications: 

Must be at least 15 years of age

Must complete new hire training modules within two weeks of start date

Applicants over the age of 18 must pass a background check

Experience in gymnastics and spotting of skills is a plus

You must meet and understand students with a wide variety of needs and skills

Must be able to create a fun and engaging environment for students

Responsibilities:

• Displays a positive, dynamic attitude that encourages children's self-esteem
• Challenges self to research and develop new ideas and strategies for classes taught
• Communicates and interacts clearly and effectively with parents and staff
• Respects and considers suggestions and opinions of parents and staff
• Maintains proper attendance records
• Maintains cleanliness of gym and surrounding area
• Works scheduled shifts; calls subs and Gymnastics Director when you are unable to work your scheduled hours
• Creates class lesson plans and supply lists to Gymnastics Director 
• Attends all training required by the Ralph J. Stolle Countryside YMCA and Gymnastics Director
• Assists in Scholarship Fund Raising activities
• Adheres to Safety regulations and report safety issues to Building and Grounds or Risk Management

Rate of pay: $10.85+/hour, may vary with experience. 

All part-time staff working a minimum of 16 hours per quarter will receive a complimentary individual membership to the Countryside YMCA! This position may require more than the 16 hour minimum; please confirm the hours required with the hiring manager.
