The person in this role will be responsible for customer engagements from the pre-sales to post-sales cycle including implementations. The main objective is to work closely with Systems Architects, Business Analysts and System Analysts to build sustainable, profitable revenue opportunities to Zebra Workcloud Software. You will provide application expertise and assist in defining and estimating project scope and analyze requirements and provide Solution Document/Proof of Concepts to get Product Management approval. Enjoying working in a rapidly-changing environment with shifting priorities will be a key to success.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the implementation from a configuration perspective.
  • Prepare functional and technical specification documents.
  • Oversee the architecture, design and supporting development and testing of test solutions to several highly-complex technical projects
  • Creates system specifications for the projects. Leads technology roadmap process. Recommends project approach and goals
  • Champions new thinking and creativity in team members to cultivate and retain top talent
  • Coaches others on how to effectively develop, communicate, and implement new solutions
  • Prioritizes quality and seeks out improvements in all aspects of the projects
  • Maintains keen awareness of competitor products and development direction to help direct designs to surpass the competition
  • Uses status as a developer of novel and creative solutions to build business and bring positive attention to technologies and services
  • With other engineering disciplines, develops next generation ideas and solutions to meet client needs before the competition
  • Analyzes competitor intellectual property and participates in activities related to protecting intellectual property
  • Directs and controls the activities of a department /team in a functional discipline within a product group, division, sub-region or country
  • Contributes to the development of policy innovation and integrated business solutions. Manages programs and/or product development initiatives
  • Develops and establishes operational policies within area managed, and delegates assignments. Accountable for and contributes toward profitability and/or cost containment by indirectly impacting the P&L through Account, Product Line, Research and Development, Operations or functional management
  • Develops and implements programs/solutions to improve processes, reduce costs and cycle time, and improve customer service
  • Internally recognized leader who exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
  • Significant knowledge in function, product, technology service, strategy, and business complexities in order to contribute to the development of creative solutions in area of expertise

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in an appropriate engineering discipline preferred
  • Bachelor's +8 years of experience
  • Master's +6 years of experience
