The engineering team at Plenty is on a mission to reimagine the way humanity grows food, and building a lean, robust, and adaptable supply chain is vital to this mission. As a Supply Chain Engineer, you will develop and execute sourcing strategies for a wide variety of electrical and mechanical products which will serve as the foundation to our global network of farms. You will work closely with mechanical, civil, and electrical engineers to recommend product innovations informed by the latest manufacturing and sourcing capabilities.  In addition to improving the physical products and materials we source, the Supply Chain team drives breakthroughs in the processes we use to accomplish our objectives. Plenty is growing rapidly and we need a supply chain that can evolve and support this evolution.

What you'll do:

  • Collaborate across the entire Plenty organization to inform designs and drive successful farm builds
  • Optimize supply chain efficiency and performance to streamline sourcing
  • Interface with suppliers to negotiate favorable timelines and terms for sourcing
  • Asses and mitigate risks to timeline and objectives by forecasting and by developing a diverse portfolio of global partners

What we're looking for:

  • 3+ years' supply chain experience
  • Strong communication and negotiating skills 
  • Passion for technology and/or manufacturing
  • Excitement to collaborate in a positive startup environment
