Hatch is seeking a Junior Landscape Architect to join its team of landscape architects and architects in Oakville, ON to assist with current and exciting future projects locally and support the US based Landscape Architectural practice. The Hatch Landscape Architecture team is a center of excellence focusing on green infrastructure (GI) design, landscape architecture, sustainable site design, landscape restoration, urban forestry, and climate change resiliency. Our capability spans through the whole project lifecycle, comprising conceptual design, feasibility studies, basic and detailed engineering, construction administration, monitoring and long-term management.
Position Summary:
We are seeking candidates with a strong interest in sustainable landscape design that are well organized, thoughtful and creative. Candidates should be able to work independently as well as part of a diverse interdisciplinary team and have strong verbal, written and graphic communication skills. As Junior Landscape Architect, you will support progressing design concepts through design development and work with the project team to produce Construction Documents. You will also provide task management, analysis, design and construction observation support for a wide range of local, national and international projects. The ideal candidate is a motivated individual who possesses the ability to work with an interdisciplinary team, takes initiative on tasks and coordinating with others, adheres to project deadlines, and demonstrates a good work ethic.
