SIMEA Sibiu carries out production activities of electronic equipment and systems, of low to medium complexity and with an increased manual processing part. The company is involved in the generation of innovative solutions in the field of design and manufacturing of electronic products, support services within its strong competencies: product development (PLM), logistics and production.

The Finance function in a corporate environment is becoming increasingly strategic, technology-driven, and focused on providing insights to support the business decision-making.

We are looking for a Controller for our Finance Team!

Controller Sibiu

The new role - challenging and future-oriented

  • Carry out periodic performance controlling activities, including planning and reporting, within the company’s financial and business administration processes.
  • Carry out controlling activities regarding improvements in processes and cost reductions, analysis of deviations from planned / forecasted costs and cost estimates.
  • Carry out activities for the closing of the period, preparation of financial reports according to the company's requirements, data analysis and propose corrective actions.
  • Analyze and measure the financial impact of production-related processes.
  • Understand the impact of financial decisions on the overall business strategy. Analyze the financial implication of different strategic options and provide insights that help the managers make informed decisions.
  • Analyze financial data and get involved in developing models to support the decision-making (effectively use analytical tools).
  • Check and ensure that all accounting records are documented according to accounting regulations and internal procedures.
  • Prepare information for the financial and transfer price audits and other internal controls.
  • Actively participate in improvement actions and projects within the department and the organization.

Qualifications and competences – solid and relevant: 

  • Experience in controlling or financial-accounting activities.
  • Knowledge of the English language at an advanced level.
  • Knowledge of the German language is an advantage (but not a condition).
  • Abilities to organize and plan the activity, analytical thinking, attention to details. Problem solving orientation. Teamwork and collaboration.
  • Good computer skills (MS Office).
  • Adaptability: be able to adapt to changing business environments and new technologies. Have a growth mindset, be willing to learn new skills and be open to new ideas.
  • The ability and/or availability to use IT applications and tools for the most effective automation / digitization methods.
