We are looking for qualified and motivated candidate for the role of Operational Delivery Lead, based in Sofia.

The opportunity

The Operational Delivery Lead plays a central role in ensuring the smooth and efficient management of live websites within our digital landscape. Tasked with orchestrating seamless operations, this role acts as a crucial link between various stakeholders, ensuring optimal functionality and reliability across the company's digital platforms.

How you’ll spend your day

  • Incident Response Coordination: Lead the response efforts during live site incidents, coordinating resolutions and ensuring swift communication with stakeholders.
  • Performance Optimization: Oversee day-to-day operations of live sites, working to optimize performance and reliability.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and enhance operational processes, ensuring alignment with overarching business objectives.
  • Proactive Issue Identification: Proactively identify and address potential operational issues, minimizing downtime and optimizing site functionality.
  • KPI Tracking: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve operational efficiency.
  • Sprint Planning: Collaborate with the development and testing teams to plan and prioritize tasks for each sprint, considering project timelines and resource availability.
  • Lead Kickoff Meeting: Conduct kickoff meetings to communicate project objectives, deliverables, and expectations to the development team.
  • Demonstrate Functionality: Showcase developed functionalities to Web Experts, gathering feedback and ensuring alignment with project goals.
  • Environments Readiness: Work with relevant stakeholders to ensure the readiness of different environments for development, testing, and deployment.
  • Retrospective Meetings: Lead retrospective meetings, identify areas for improvement, and follow up on action items to enhance team efficiency.
  • Activity and Resource Planning: Plan and allocate resources effectively, ensuring that the team is well-equipped to meet project goals.
  • Align Dev and Testing Teams: Facilitate communication and understanding between development and testing teams, ensuring clarity on requirements and schedules.
  • Progress Checkup & Organization Meetings: Conduct daily progress checkups and organizational meetings with the development team to monitor project advancement.
  • Blockers and Prioritization: Identify and communicate development blockers to the Technical Project Manager, and mediate discussions on task prioritization as needed.
  • Jira Sprint Board Management: Fill and maintain the Jira Sprint board to track and manage project tasks efficiently.
  • Contact Point with Development Team: Serve as the primary contact point for the development team, addressing concerns and facilitating communication.
  • Change Request Advisement: Advise the Product Owner on distinguishing change requests (scope creep) from bugs within the sprint context.
  • CI/CD Coordination: Coordinate the continuous integration and deployment process on a daily basis, working closely with the technical team.
  • Testing Effort Coordination: Coordinate the testing effort throughout the development process to ensure quality deliverables.
  • Sprint Status Reporting: Report the status of sprint deliverables and highlight work that needs to be transferred to the next sprint.
  • Estimation Process Mediation: Mediate the estimation process, ensuring accurate and documented outcomes for project planning.
  • Production Site Settings Update: Update production site settings as needed, working in collaboration with relevant teams.
  • Infrastructure Collaboration: Collaborate with the Infrastructure team on domain names and site go-live activities.

Your experience and qualifications

  • Proven experience in a similar digital delivery role.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum.
  • Familiarity with project management tools, such as Jira.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Deep understanding of integrations, including experience in coordinating and managing integration points between various systems.
  • Basic SQL skills, with the ability to perform data queries and analyses as needed.
  • Bachelor’s degree in management and industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in a leadership role, particularly in managing live digital platforms.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, analytical mindset.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments at a time and meet set deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
