Job Description UI/UX Designer

DuPont Water Solutions (DWS) is on a digital transformation journey to design and develop innovative digital products and services that drive value for customers and other stakeholders. This includes using connecting plants using IOT and leveraging AI/ML to deliver descriptive, diagnostic, predictive and prescriptive analytics. We are looking for future leaders who are willing to take roll up their sleeves and define, design, and develop the next generation products and services that will power innovation and growth for DWS.

We are looking for a Product Designer who can transform our software into user-friendly products that delight our clients. Product Designer responsibilities include gathering user requirements, designing graphic elements and building navigation components. We're looking for individuals who are well-versed in the latest industry trends, emerging design patterns, and ever-evolving technologies. If you have a portfolio of professional design projects that include work with web/mobile applications, we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, you’ll create both functional and appealing features that address our clients’ needs and help us grow our customer base.

Objectives of the role:

Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers and engineers. Conduct user research to understand needs, behaviors, and pain points of users through interviews, surveys, and observations. Organize and structure content and information logically, ensuring easy navigation. Identify and troubleshoot UX problems for existing products. Conceptualize and illustrate ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps. Create mockups, wireframes, and interactive prototypes to visualize the layout and functionality of digital products. Craft visually pleasing interfaces and graphic designs, including choosing colors, typography, icons, and imagery, while maintaining consistency with branding guidelines. Develop and maintain Design Library including extensive list of UI components and patterns. Conduct usability tests to gather feedback and iterate on designs for improved user satisfaction. Define how users interact with the product, including the placement and behavior of interactive elements. Work closely with cross-functional teams, such as developers and product managers, to ensure designs align with technical feasibility and business goals. Design interfaces that adapt seamlessly to different screen sizes and devices. Create user guides, documentation, and in-app help and take in charge on interface content.

Skills:

  • 6-8 years of proven work experience as a Product Designer or similar role.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing previous design work, including web/mobile applications, design process, problem-solving abilities, and creativity.
  • Proficiency in design software and prototyping tool such as Adobe Creative Suite (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, XD) Figma, Sketch etc.
  • Knowledge of user-centered design principles, typography, color theory, and layout are essential.
  • Strong team spirit and communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders. Effective time management skills to meet project deadlines and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • A basic understanding of front-end development can be beneficial. A keen eye for detail to ensure that designs are pixel-perfect and consistent.

Education Qualification:

B.Des / M.Des Degree is mandatory.
